I cannot reproduce that, either. Win 7 ZSA 3.0.8 I also tried Z in FF 14.0.1. That didn't work either.

"pressing Shift-Tab times"...is there a specific number of times? It doesn't work for me, even with multiple "times".

That would be great! Thanks!

Here is a link (seriously, that's about all I'm good for here! :) http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/merging_libraries The problem I see is that your old computer is no longer functional in order to do an rdf export. Anyhow, I need to bow out of t…

What OS was your old computer? What OS is your new computer? Basically, though, you want to copy the entirezotero folder (and sub-folders)to the new computer. If the Zotero folder is not in the path described (which is OS dependent), you may have …

This entry in the FAQs is a good place to start: http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data

teefa, The little blue save booklet is only there if Zotero recognizes bibliographic information on the page. See this link: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_address_bar_icon For more information on getting stuff into your library see this lin…

To remove an item from a collection Right Click the item in the collection and then click "Remove selected item." That does not delete the item from your library (The option "Delete selected item from library" does that! :)) That item is now "unfil…

If you use the related tab to relate each section to the main book you can at least get a visual of all the sections for that book. Not quite what you probably want, but it works well for me. YMMV.

There are a lot of great links on this page: http://www.zotero.org/support/ Especially this: http://www.zotero.org/support/quick_start_guide and this: http://www.zotero.org/support/getting_stuff_into_your_library

Right, I meant edited in Word. As far as I know, you don't have much recourse, unless you have a back up...but then you probably missed other contributions to the document. But someone more in the know would have to respond if there is something …

Did you manually edit the citation?
-
What data needs to be included? Could you provide a sample citation? There is probably already an item type that could work. Edit: Letter sequencing error

Good news indeed. Thanks, Dan!

This is still problematic for me. It's happened twice in the last 20 minutes. Any aborted drag seems to separate the child note from its parent. What happened these last two times was that I clicked on a note, and before releasing, I moved the mou…

Oh, duh. I misunderstood (obviously)... I was thinking 'non-English locale" somehow morphed to mean the non-English in my notes...Nevermind.

I, too, am using English ZSA, and the problem was when I was working with Spanish notes. I think disabling non-English locales would have worked for me.

This has been driving me crazy for some time, now, and the solution has been around since September! I guess I need to hone my forum-searching skills! mreiter, you ROCK! And, um, thanks to longtalker's ill placed, and since removed post, I found …

I have been meaning to post on this issue myself, didn't have time to do a search to see if it had been commented on before.) It is very distracting, especially when it just flashes. I'm sure it's way less than a second (but I haven't put a stopwa…

Have you emptied the trash?

I'm not fbennett, but I'm pretty sure "all cases" would mean "in every instance," "all the time," or "without exception." It is not referring to grammatical cases. Fbennett can correct me if I'm wrong.

Highlight the items in the center pane, then drag and drop them on the tag you want (in the tag selector). You can only drop on one tag at once (as far as I know).

PaulH, I'm not using Standalone nor Ubunto (WinXP), but when I click on the HTML option in the menu bar, spell checking [sometimes] works. Then again, it might be a fluke. YMMV, but it's worth a try.

1. Right click the item in the center pane 2. Duplicate item 3. Select the duplicated item 4. Click on item type in the right-hand column (book) 5. from the dropdown box select book section This will automagically transfer the book name to the appr…

Do you mean other than the ones found in "gear icon"/preferences/short cuts?

Click on the item type "Book" and a list of options will appear.

How did you back up your library? Did you follow the instructions here: http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data (more info here: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library)? Just exporting (e.g. using rdf) is not a recommended back u…
