Does this help? Citations and Bibliographies To keep your Zotero UI in one language, but use another language for the citations and bibliographies created by Zotero, follow these steps: Type about:config into the Firefox address bar and press …

As mronkko says, it depends. Check out this link: http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data. Scroll down to the troubleshooting section for some more ideas. Did you use a custom data directory before? Maybe the new install is looking in the wro…

.rdf is not a recommended procedure for transfer, as it breaks the links between the document and Zotero. Here is the recommended procedure: http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/transferring_a_library

Welcome to Zotero and the forums! Are you using the Word or Open(Libre) Office plugin? http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_integration There is a wealth of helpful information in the documentation page. It might be worth your while to b…

Click on the item you want to restore, then click "restore to Library" button located at the top of the right-hand pane.

Did you try Toggling Field codes (Right click context menu) or ALT-F9 to toggle field codes in the whole document?
-
Drag and drop...hmmm, that works too! For some reason that never occurred to me! :)

You don't generally paste files themselves into e-mail. I actually do that alot. Especially re: Zotero attachments. If I want to email an attachment to someone, like mronkko says, I have to show file, then copy, then paste in Outlook since navigat…

Just a reminder that I'm still having issues with multiple downloads even after updating to Z 3.0b1. ButI don't think the translator has been updated since 7 August, has it? Everything else still works.

If you press the "-" key on the keyboard it will collapse all items. Pressing the "+" key expands all items. Note: I'm not talking about clicking on the + or - thingy to the left of the item, rather, the actual key on the keyboard. Does that acco…

@cswooster, EBSCO has been having issues, but they have made some changes and ajlyon has recently done a lot of work on the translator. See this post for information on installing a new translator: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/18789/1/ebsco…

Sorry it didn't help. It's what adamsmith said in the second part of his post. He just beat me to it. And did it better! :)

Does this post help? http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/4878/report-item-type/#Item_8 ?

I don't know if it makes any difference, but I'm accessing the ATLAS database through EBSCO. (Just trying to think of things that might make my configuration unique.)

Sorry ajlyon :(, I'm sure this is getting frustrating for you, but I do appreciate your time and energy on this! But alas... On my system, it's still downloading multiple copies of the first PDF. Additionally, two [meta data] items were downlo…

Individual items now save again. Dates look great!! Multiple items again retrieves meta data correctly (including dates) However, again, it only downloads the first PDF in the list, regardless of it being selected or not. It downloads the same fi…

Multiple items is completely broken this time. Sometimes I get a "could not save" error and sometimes it's a silent fail. Here is the error message. [JavaScript Error: "TypeError: an is null" {file: "file:///C:/Documents%20and%20Settings/User Nam…

Now the date comes in as Getting Correct Wint 1979 December 01, 1979 Wint 1979 2007 January 01, 2007 2007

Almost!! On multiple items, it seems to save only the PDF associated with the first item in the list, regardless if it is selected for download or not. That same PDF is downloaded and attached to all items selected. ohhh, soooo close!!!

EBSCO is my only option, and I, too, have hated to manually download PDFs! But unfortunately had no choice...till now! I see that Dan has posted the error. Here are the date data: Getting Correct Accens…

Wow! This translator is a huge improvement! Automatic PDF download! Woohoo! However, I'm still having issues with double dates... It's improved to quasi-double dates. Things like "Ap," "Sum," "O" etc. appear before the date. The year is no longe…

No problem! Glad to help.

I can't help you with that one, sorry. Since this issue is unrelated to the original title, you might not get the help you need. I suggest you start a new thread with a more appropriate title.
-
By the way, if you duplicate a Book Item, then change the Item type on the duplicate to Book Section, the title is automatically transferred to Book Title!
-
Right click the item and select "Duplicate Selected Item."

I'd temporarily disable automatic syncing - the reason you can't manually sync is that Zotero thinks (correctly or not) that it's already in the middle of a sync process. BINGO! We have a winner! After watching my green arrow spin for 7 days, havin…

Try entering "today", "yesterday", "tomorrow" -- it works already for at least the "Date" field. Wow. I was just entering a bunch of "today's dates". Thanks for the heads up! (I wonder what else don't I know? )

1. You can sort the middle pane by Item Type by clicking the "type" column header. If that column is not displayed, you can add it by clicking on the sheet icon and add it. This will put all the books together, all the journals together, etc. Al…
