As my previous post states, I tried to reinstall the plugin through Zotero and now I get this message: Zotero Integration Error "Zotero experienced an error updating your document." In following the instructions for manual installation, I found the…

So...just letting the OP know that they are not the only one having this issue. Also, we both share the same concern. I have already tried to reinstall the Word plugin from Zotero. If I uninstall and reinstall Zotero, will my linked references be …

Same issue here.

It's all the same problem; I'm just working on a diagnosis. After a few more days with this issue, it is clear that there is some kind of incompatibility issue between OneDrive and Zotero. When I just tried to insert a citation in my manuscript, th…

Thank you for these suggestions...the plot thickens. I opened the same manuscript from OneDrive on another computer and the references were fine. Relief! I saved a new version and emailed it to myself, which kind of defeats the purpose of having One…

Thanks for the link. I haven't opened the file anywhere but on my laptop in Word. I've been using Zotero for years and have never encountered this problem. I just went into some older manuscripts in other folders and the citations are still intact. …

Thanks for your response. Hmmm...yes, that is possible. I could do a global search and replace, but for what? Space plus each individual number? There is too much data in the paper and I would risk removing intentional spaces before other numbers. …

Same problem here. Trying to update my profile while creating a group in Zotero. The only message is "Error Saving Profile". All fields are filled in. Any insight would be most appreciated!

Update: I downloaded Adobe Acrobat and made it my default PDF reader. Now the files open fine in Adobe Acrobat Reader when I click on the file directly from my Zotero library, so maybe you are right about it being a Chrome issue. Thanks so much …

Ok, commented on the other thread. Thanks so much!

I'm having this same issue. I have been opening PDFs in Chrome with no issue for years. When I do what you suggested above (right click, show file), it opens the file in Zotero storage. Storage should not be an issue. Here is the file path: C:\User…

For the "discovery" page, it looks like this: http://discovery/ The address of the first tab in the series that opens looks like this: file:///C:/Users/drjac/Zotero/storage/33RP6RZY/Su Su is the last name of the first author. I will check the ot…

OK, yes. That was not a great example. Here is a paper from Progress in Biophysics and Molecular Biology that is pending publication: https://tinyurl.com/yy88xhrb titled, "Biophysics and the nonlinear dynamics instigated by a special hormone" (in ca…

Yes, I see that in the guide to authors, which coincidentally states that citations should be ordered chronologically (which inherently means to follow the order in which they occurred) or alphabetically and then chronologically. However, if you loo…

Finally got it. Sort by issue under Inline citations and under bibliography were both "descending" instead of "ascending". I'm glad for the experience of fixing this issue, but it cost me approx. $300 today. Maybe I should reconsider Endnote. :-/ T…

Thank you. It worked for in-text citations but the references are still listed from newest to oldest. I'll go back in and see if I can figure out where the glitch is. I can't believe this is even a thing. I've edited nearly 800 papers at this point,…

Perhaps under In-line citations >>>>Date>variable>(change from "issued" to "original-date")?

Ok, sorry to be so dense about this, but I do not see where to edit the order of in-text citations in the Visual CSL Editor (step 4 in the aforementioned list).

OK, let me try your suggestions and report back. Thanks so much!

p.s. I just changed the style in the Word doc and the references are still in reverse chronological order in the in-text citation, as well as in the reference list. McClintock, B., 1984. The significance of responses of the genome to challenge. Sc…

Thanks for the prompt response! I see the style when working in word, but can't figure out how to edit it so that the in-text citations appear in chronological order. When I go to Edit>Preferences in Zotero, I can't edit the style. There has to b…
