In order to install zotero as a standalone on a linux computer you have to open the Terminal and tell him what to do with the downloaded file. I don't know the commands.
-
I am using Zotero 4.0.29.23. I have not installed Zotero 5 yet because I have found no detailed tutorial (with the detailed terminal commands).

Very stupid question: how do you "provoke" the automatic upgrade without de- and reinstalling zotero?
-
Solved by upgrading to 4.0.15

In the extension manager one reads: "Error: The status of this extension is unknown."
-
laureneparlett: how do you that?

When I try to Zotero manually inside LibreOffice I got the following message from the Extension Manager: (com.sun.star.unoRuntimeException)((Message="JNI exception occured", Context=(com.sun.star.uno.XInterface)@7f0304094458(ImplementationName="com.…

Clicking on the toolbar buttons does not have an effect. What is bizarre is that the buttons are visible but when I go to the extension manager in libre office, the zotero plugin does not appear.
-
is there now an author-date style for the footnotes in the repository?

Dragging Java SE 6 (32-bit) above Java SE 6 (64-bit) in /Applications/Utilities/Java Preferences did work. This problem is solved. Thanks a lot.
-
I have verified that my Java (Java SE6) is working. By the way, the link on this page under the chapter "Mac OS X / OpenOffice OpenOffice plugin crashes Firefox" does no longer work. Best
-
now even creating a "bibliography from selected item' does not function anymore; it indicates that there is a problem with the java script application
-
sorry, i did not understand your question: nothing happens normally when you drag you have a little symbol with a "+" when you arrive on program where pasting is possible and that does not happen any longer
-
the only quite arduous way to do it, is to click 'create bibliography from selected item' and then 'copy to clipboard' but dragging a citation was more easy
-
for one unknown reason i can no longer drag a citation to another program be it openoffice, gmail, thunderbird... i have the impression that is linked to zotero 2.1.
-
I tried unsuccessfully to sync for over 5 hours today. Would it be possible to provide an update on how the solution is progressing?
-
Drag a citation from Zotero to LibreOffice, Thunderbird or gmail. Mac OS X 10.6.6. With Firefox 3.6. and Zotero 2.0. this was possible
-
The Zotero plugin appears indeed now in LibreOffice toolbar. I get however the following error message "Zotero OpenOffice Integration could not communicate with OpenOffice.org because the Java UNO runtime directory specified in the Zotero OpenO…

Hi I installed Firefox 3.5.14. where it worked. Then I retried with Firefox 3.6.11 and now everything works again. Sorry to have bothered you even if I think that there is a Java-Firefox-Apple problem (see above and in numerous other forums). So…
-
Hi There seems to be a more general problem with Java-Firefox-Apple cf. https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/questions/760535 I hope they resolve it soon as Zotero does only work with Firefox
-
Hi I tested Java in Firefox through the Mozilla plugin page. Everything seems ok on that side.
-
I fear my it-knowledge is too reduced to be able to solve this by myself; still hope that in the near future there will be a proper libreoffice-plugin
-
To make the story still more complicated, I'm using an Apple and there neither the jimwhitend nor the noksagt proposition works
