What you have done should work. Can you send the debug output generated during import to support@zot...org? Since Zotero will actually copy the PDF into its own storage directory during import, there's no need to worry about relative/absolute paths.
-
To import PDFs, add a PDF field specifying the full file path to the attachment, e.g.: PDF = {C:\somedirectory\anotherdirectory\file.pdf} or PDF = {/Users/raverdugo/Documents/file.pdf} etc.
-
At the moment, no, but there are plans to add this functionality.

Edited email address in original post.

I wish that the Chicago Manual of Style did in fact discourage Ibid., but I find no such evidence in the 15th edition. Please let us know if you find otherwise. As Dan points out, we do offer a no-Ibid. version, and if CMS indicates that Ibid. is de…

Please take a look at Zotero 1.5 Sync Preview and our development roadmap.

Not to put you too much on the spot, but why couldn't you just open up Firefox at any time to search through and view your Zotero library? Although it's a frequent request, it's not exactly clear to me what the advantage would be to have a standalon…

Zotero will soon offer the ability to store and sync attachments in user-defined storage (i.e. WebDAV) while keeping item metadata synchronized via the Zotero server. Would this configuration meet your needs? If not, could you perhaps elaborate on y…

We are committed to implementing a new data model along these lines, but it's a major undertaking that will need to wait until we have ironed out the issues related to bringing synchronization functionality online. The Zotero project is led by histo…

As a temporary workaround, selecting the first EBSCO export option will result in Zotero directly importing the citation. Make sure you have "Use Zotero for downloaded RIS/Refer files" checked in Zotero preferences.

Fixed in Firefox 3.0.1, which is now available for download.

Thanks for the report. Created a ticket. Dragging a note to the tag selector should still work in the meantime.

Most like the problem reported here and already fixed on our end. Zotero 1.0.7, due shortly, will include the fix.
-
Make sure View->Status Bar is checked.

It's certainly the case that we have a number of issues to iron out before 1.5 is ready for general consumption, but we haven't experienced the kind of general hanging that you're describing. What do you see in the debug output?
-
Zotero won't grab the PDF if you're not accessing the Cambridge Journals through a subscription (e.g. on campus or via a university proxy) because the PDF won't even be available. Are you able to download the PDF manually?
-
At present the functionality is activated by setting extensions.zotero.zeroconf.server.enabled to true in about:config. Of course unless there are other Zotero clients with the same setting enabled on your subnet, you won't find any shared libraries.

I can assure you Zotero was always engineered to be more than just a "bibliographic information manager." Import of PDFs is as simple as dragging them into Zotero. If you are importing a RIS file with references containing file links, those files w…

Good point. The problem with KZfSS_output_style.ens seems to be with the style file itself. The problems noted with Social Problems appear to be related to Zotero's parser. Endnote's styles are far less flexible than Zotero's CSL styles, and users …

Thanks. Ticket created.

COinS will already do what you want with Zotero. For each subject heading, you'll want to generate an rft.subject parameter. For your book's URL, use rft_id. Make sure you urlencode both parameters' values.

ajperry: Thanks for the report. Fixed in the trunk.

Before Zotero 1.5 ships, we will add functionality to allow users to synchronize attachments to their own servers or other storage space (and we'll also provide a hosted storage solution for all Zotero users). We are still doing major development on…

It looks like the problem is on the side of NASA ADS. They're encoding their data as ISO-8859-1, but their headers specify UTF-8. See, for example, this reference.

Thanks for bringing this issue to our attention. We'll try to get it fixed before 3.0.1 ships.
