+1 I need this feature too ! The proxy of my university is not totally stable, I often get a 404 error. In a such case, I'm stucked, I've no other solution that to open my page on a other browser.

You're welcome. :)

Quickly tested the beta7 this morning. All right, the popup close much better. Its behaviour seems now totally normal. Other question, which isn't crucial, but it hurt my eyes (!) : the font used for displaying the titles of personal collections an…

Quickly tested here, everything works globally great (Ubuntu 16.04.4, Firefox 59.0.2 64bits, Zotero 5.0.43). I really appreciate the ability to reopen the connector after an import to change the location of the reference ! However, I don't quite un…

@dstillman @bwiernik : got it. thanks !

Great ! :) I've a question: does it mean that such a library and collection menu allow us to add references without having Zotero effectively opened ?
-
This post of Emiliano make me realize that I've not explained what's my interest in such a feature. Here are few explanations. My library is organised exclusively with thematic collections, rather than with thematic tags (which are limited in numbe…

Thanks for seriously considering this proposition. In my opinion, concerning the localisation of the button in the UI, each of both solutions has its advantages and inconveniences: * in the search drop-down: it would be a less functional for ones …

All right. Thank you for all.

OK. Thank you. Was the come back of this feature already planned ? Or is it because of my message ? P.S: we might also need a "Attach the link" feature... :-)
-
That's great. It's so much better indeed ! :-)
-
Same problem here. Thank you adomasven for your few explanations. :-)
-
Thank to reassure me ! So, I didn't totally miss the point...
-
Oh ! Is this feature here for a long time? I don't believe I missed it. You're allowed to joke on me ! Thank you. :-)

Right-click per library would be great. Right-click per collection and subcollection would be even better (but more complicated to implement, it's true). With a specific entry in the keyboard shortcut panel, it would be perfect.

OK, you're not wrong. Your arguments are making sense. But, I confess I don't see very well what are the remaining alternatives...

I don't think it makes sense to put this at the same level as "Create New Item" "search" or "Add Attachment". What about a button put more to the right, next to the quick search field ? After all, the latter is also used as displaying feature, isn't…

Hello, I reopen this thread today on the advice of Dan, after the request I've done on the zotero-dev list (https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/zotero-dev/9VqKdSuvPuA). For my part, I'm thinking about a easy way to switch this « Show …

I've done few tests. The last commit solves the problem, thank you very much. I also notice that the warning message about 'renaming without moving' has disappeared, it's a good thing. But, in my opinion, one little thing could still be improve…
-
Ok, I've tested the beta version (4.1.4), the 'renaming process without moving' is working, but there is a little bug. If an single item has more than one linked attachments, normally in the renaming process, zotfile add a digit as suffix for …
-
Thank you very much. I've missed this too. Everything works fine. One more question : by default, the renaming process of attachment is also a moving process of it (in Zotero or in a custom folder). Is there any way to disable the moving action ? …
-
Ok, I've missed this zotfile renaming menu (sorry). Now, I get this error : « Attachments skipped because they are top-level items, snapshots or the file does not exist » My attachment is a JPG picture that I've linked (ctrl+shift+drag&drop)…

Hello, I'm testing Zotfile to rename attachments with a specific pattern and specific wildcards. But Zotfile don't manage to rename, even with the defaults pattern « {%a_}{%y_}{%t} » and defaults wildcards. If I try to rename an attachment, Zot…

Solved. Sorry for the inconvenience (a root folder has been moved, probably in a wrong move). :)
