I did, that didn't help. I went for the nuclear option and I have reinstalled Linux Mint 20.1 Ulyssa from scratch. $ java --version openjdk 11.0.9.1 2020-11-04 Version: 6.4.6.2 Build ID: 1:6.4.6-0ubuntu0.20.04.1 CPU threads: 12; OS: Linux 5.4; UI…

I did, I had tried with a PPA and that is why the Oracle JDK becomes available via apt. Just in case I downloaded as you instructed and tried that version in LibreOffice. I added it by selecting "Add" and browsing directly to the Oracle package. It…

Thank you for coming back to me. You will see in the initial information I sent today that I did try the Oracle JDK. In the case of Oracle JREs, they all appear to be linked to "oracle-java15-jre". See my attempt to install "oracle-java12-jre". Ther…

I uninstalled LibreOffice and Zotero and reinstalled everything again. For Zotero I downloaded directly and followed the instructions here: https://www.zotero.org/support/installation. Here is the error reported in Zotero: [JavaScript Error: "TypeE…

OK, panic over, I found them in "Trash" online. Is it possible to clear the references under the "My Library" and have the referenced in the various directories under it ?

I fixed the problem, I changed the citation style to IEEE and then when that was finished changed it back to Harvard and the problem fixed itself.

Elsevier - Harvard (with titles)

I used the buttons in LibreOffice. For example see the following three references, why is the last one not "c". GSMA, 2018a. Delivering the Digital Revolution: Will mobile infrastructure keep up with rising demand?, Delivering the Digital Revolutio…

Thanks, guys for your explanations, it answers my question completely, keep up the good work.

Fair enough, doesn't take to long to go back and remake them. Just for clarification, that doesn't mean that the same reference can't appear multiple times in a document right ?

I installed Zotero for Linux (it is standalone now, used to be embedded within Firefox). Installed the connector in LibreOffice. I highlight where I want a reference, click Add/Edit citation, a box pops up, I put in the first few letters of the titl…

If there are references common between chapters, the references in the chapters being pasted in are dropped as described.

OK Adam, its a bit of a pain in the arse doing large documents when joining chapters. Perhaps the problem could be brought up with LibreOffice to see if there is a fix from their side. Undoubtedly they would act quicker from Zotero than me. I am wai…

~ adamsmith It works fine copying from one document to another as long as Zotero is open. The problem appears when the reference already exists elsewhere in the document that is being coped into.

I had the same problem with Libreoffice Writer. The second document reference links were lost. I removed the existing bibliographies and tried as suggested above and it worked fine. Copied over the second document, refreshed the references and then …
