You need to install Zotero Standalone https://www.zotero.org/download/ After that, install word extension via Preferences -> Cite

No, you should go through the proxy, which should generally work. The issue is your library's proxy. JSTOR has recently started redirecting users over a secure (HTTPS) connection. Your library's proxy, however, is not configured properly to support …

Works for me. Which OS/Browser/Zotero setup? Dan, can you post some more debug output pertaining to the POST request?
-
Can you try the following:1. Press Windows key + R and type services.msc and hit enter. 2. From the list of services, double click on Remote Procedure Call services. 3. Change the startup type to Automatic and click Start. 4. Click ok to apply the c…

Should be fixed now. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. Research notes should import as note attachments.
-
Thanks! I see the problem. Will post back here when this is fixed.
-
Can you provide a specific query that fails to import? I can't reproduce. Also, can you provide a Report ID for a failed import attempt?
-
Dan is saying that you can have each user store files at https://**WebDAV**/*User1/zotero, https://**WebDAV**/*User2/zotero, etc.
-
Are you using Word 2008? If so, see https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_toolbar_in_word_2008_plugin

Install Word integration via Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors

No, I wanted the RIS as exported by EndNote. The RIS you provided from EndNote doesn't make sense given that the information is entered correctly in EndNote and that the output style is up to date. As I said above, the output style in EndNote places…

Does the record appear correctly in EndNote? What are the Date, Access Date, and Year fields?
-
The import looks right to me. In EndNote the DA value for Journal Article comes straight from the Date field and the Access Date is placed into Y2. If you're seeing something different, try updating your RIS output style in EndNote to the latest ver…

4.0.26 is now available

DA can be date accessed or just date depending on the item type. Can you provide a sample RIS entry (starting with TY and ending with ER) where you think this is not correct?
-
Thanks, Dan. That would do it. Pretty sure this would be fixed by https://github.com/zotero/zotero/pull/409
-
Can you try using Zotero in Firefox and see if that works better?
-
Are you using Zotero Standalone or Zotero in Firefox? Does the captcha ever work? (e.g. you can enter the captcha successfully five times, but when it asks the 6th time, the captcha is not accepted)
-
But I would suggest that you start a new thread and describe your problem specifically. We should probably import research notes as standalone notes though.
-
Also, could you please answer adamsmith's questions above When you hover over the URL bar icon in Firefox, does it say "Save to Zotero (Wiley Online Library)" or something else? exactly what message appears? Which Firefox version are you using? (abo…

See above. We would need a debug log to see what's being blocked.

Sorry, here are directions https://www.zotero.org/support/debug_output

Please submit a Debug log for an attempt to import

Try example.com

Vancouver in what sense? It typically refers to numeric superscripts as opposed to author-date, so Chicago Manual of Style fits that category. You can try using http://editor.citationstyles.org/searchByExample/

Set your Zotero data directory (not linked attachment base directory) to point to the folder you backed up. The setting is on the same preference page.

Does the sync arrow (circular green arrow at the top right of Zotero window) spin? Does it stop spinning? Do you get a red exclamation mark? If so, what's the error? If the arrow is not spinning, what happens when you click it? The error above is n…

That error doesn't affect anything (to the best of our knowledge). What exactly is not working? See applicable steps here: https://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues

We'll fix this in an upcoming Zotero release, but in the mean time you can close Zotero Standalone and just use Zotero in Firefox, which should make this work.
