You can, of course, create another group (you can create as many as you want) and set read-only permission for that group.

Bib is never used in page headers, is it? it can be, it's just not common, so most software will not understand it.
-
item type is picked up from dc:type. You will want to set it to something more specific than "document". See https://github.com/zotero/translators/blob/master/RDF.js#L369 I think once you set that, you will find that some other fields will be impor…

When I right click to view PDF in the middle Zotero window, it opens a page with the following URL but nothing can be read. See https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/29559/cannot-view-pdf-attachment-in-firefox/ If I export a collection (export files)…

I don't have Outlook installed, so I can't test this, but can you drag-drop files from Explorer into Outlook and have them attached? I also can't replicate the functionality of dragging and dropping a Zotero _item_ (not PDF attachment) into Gmail a…

Fixed. Same update instructions as above.

Looks to be 'text/html' (if you have the "Copy HTML" preference selected in Zotero -> Preferences -> Export) _and_ 'text/plain'. Changing the "Copy HTML" preference doesn't seem to make any difference for Eclipse. https://github.com/zotero/zo…

Looks to be an Eclipse issue. I cannot drag-drop text from Firefox or LibreOffice into Eclipse either.
-
Which eclipse product are we talking about exactly?
-
But in either case, I'm not really sure that there is anyone we can talk to. I have sent a couple emails to Google about this, but there was never any response. Maybe someone knows an actual person that we can email, because generic Google support c…

Can you drag-drop text from a text editor into Eclipse?
-
I'll give bibtex translator another go this weekend. Hopefully we'll have this sorted out.
-
That's essentially what Zotero does when you click the URL bar icon, except that it sets it to BibTeX instead of RIS. I think we chose BibTeX, because it was more complete.
-
Google Scholar exports the ç as {\c{c}}, which Zotero doesn't import correctly. We have plans to improve proper BibTeX parsing, but I'm not sure when this will actually happen. You should see the ç imported into Zotero as \cc, which you can fix. Th…

One slight correction. The BibTeX/JabRef support is currently only for importing into Zotero, not exporting.
-
This would be possible in an public group with closed membership. For a private group, you can prevent editing, but you cannot prevent viewing of the library in the client (so still sync'ed). What is the use case for this?
-
RIS has no concept of collections, but we have tags (keywords) that could possibly be hacked into supporting collections (something like KW - collection:col1/subcol1/subcol2). And yes, TR is the maintainer of the RIS "specification" BibTeX is more …

The fix is now live. You can update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. Let us know if there are further issues.
-
Sorry for the long delay. This is now possible. You can update your translators in Zotero via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. Let us know if it's not working.
-
If you click on the red exclamation mark, it will tell you what the actual error is and will let you submit it to Zotero servers. You can then post the Report ID here so we can assist you.

Ugh, their metadata export appears to "highlight" your search words, which, IMO, doesn't make any sense. We're working on improvements to the Primo translator. This should be fixed by the end of the weekend.

Yes, WorldCat exports ebooks as ELEC. We'll fix this.

URL for the library?
-
Sorry, I don't know the path (command) for standalone on a Mac. Dan would probably be able to tell you though (he'll be around some time soon). There is no way to "unmerge" the library, but since, as you said, your library was empty, you should be …

Currently we cannot display custom error messages for different sites, though I think that is something we would like to do in the future. The pop-up should not be disappearing, however. I will take a look if we can fix this (I thought we had)

You _do not_ want to be changing just the sync username and password in the preferences. What will happen (and likely already did) is that the contents of the professor's library synced and merged with your library. If you then switched back to prof…

It should be added in version 4.2 (no time estimate yet)
-
The plan at the moment is to introduce these changes in version 4.2 (I don't have an actual time estimate though) The workaround depends on the style you are using (i.e. the way you want this displayed). We can better assist you with this if you gi…

This usually happens if Zotero does not recognize the page as WorldCat (most likely because of proxy), but does pick up I some metadata embedded in the page. What URL are you importing from (exactly as you see it)?
-
textContent should return the text inside CDATA Edit: sorry, I meant text() in xpath
