@hillke8, that page (step 12) requests a bunch of information for us to be able to further troubleshoot this. But... ...uwmstubbs may be on the right track in regards to your actual problem. If you're using Firefox and you have Zotero for Firefox i…

The reason I asked is because we would like to prevent such errors in the future by fixing our web/import translators. But since it looks like this was an old import (so it probably should have prevented you from syncing this whole time), it's proba…

It seems that you did not completely remove EndNote from your computer and the Word plug-in is still there. It probably tries to perform some operation that depends on the EndNote client and crashes. So this is likely not technically a Zotero issue,…

You could sort by Date Added and only export/import items after a certain date, but that is not a good way to keep your computers in sync, because it would be a huge mess if you ever tried to sync the computers again and/or tried using Word with bot…

Are you clicking a bookmarklet (a bookmark in your bookmarks bar) or Zotero url bar icon? Also, see http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues
-
That should be fairly self-explanatory. You need to find the item that has that incorrectly entered name and fix it. Search for part of that name in your library or your group library. Also, could you take note of where that record came from? The L…

No, you do not need to purchase anything extra. Even if you are trying to upload references with file attachments, which would use your storage quota, the metadata would still sync. What is the hang up with the sync now? Is there a red exclamation …

However, this does not work since the manuscript seems to try to connect to EndNote (which is not installed in my computer any longer). I have to restart the computer every time I try and if trying to insert new references from Zotoro it does not wo…

You should not be attempting to switch accounts by changing sync credentials. That is not the same thing. (If the other account is empty, it should actually do what you want - i.e. merge the two libraries together - but it will be confusing and caus…

Sorry, in my post above I didn't mean to say public group. I meant if you "Publish entire library" in your account's privacy settings https://www.zotero.org/settings/privacy Though you can also certainly use a group to have more control over which…

How about sorting search results by "relevance" (e.g. number of items in personal library) Looks like it may currently be sorted by creation date?
-
If you create a public group, all of your references (excluding file attachments and optionally notes) are publicly accessible without logging in on zotero.org. E.g. https://www.zotero.org/redalearning/items I'm not sure what you mean by and use th…

You have a couple options: Export all the data as Zotero RDF and then import it into the other account. Create a group that both accounts are part of, transfer references to the group, sync, then transfer them to the other account from the group.
-
Idk what anti-spam measures are in place, but in terms of cleanup, it should be fairly safe to remove accounts with no hosted references and no activity for the past N months. Perhaps preceded by a warning email. I don't particularly find the Peopl…

Try http://www.zotero.org/styles?q=chicago manual of style 16 author-date You won't be able to "click" on the citation that redirected me at the bibliography page where my citation isThat option is just generally not available in Zotero (yet).

Is this on a personal computer (I mean, not a school computer that may be wiped every night or something similar)? What OS, which versions of Firefox/Zotero specifically? Where is your Zotero data directory located (see http://www.zotero.org/support…

I setup zoteron in D:\\zotero\ You mean that your Zotero data directory is located there? See http://www.zotero.org/support/zotero_data if you're not sure where it is. Zotero itself is usually installed either as a Firefox extension in the Firefox …

No, no progress there.

Are you actually experiencing a problem with Zotero? Errors in the error report do not mean that there are actually problems with Zotero's function. See http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs#provide_steps_to_reproduce
-
These are the ones we know of (or at least the ones that used to be a problem at one point or another and may not any more) http://www.zotero.org/support/known_issues#incompatible_extensions_and_applications

Looks like the spacing for collection tree may now be too large in both Standalone and Firefox (Windows 7) Edit: nvm, I think my eyes are just getting tricked by the relatively smaller collection icon (when compared to journal article)
-
If this happens again, you can try submitting a Debug ID for switching between collections. Bugs will appear occasionally, but Zotero tends to patch them up pretty quickly. We're also working on ways to reduce end-user exposure to them.
-
Should be released some time later today.
-
Sounds to me (unless I misread something), that you're probably just not seeing the Zotero icon at the bottom of Firefox. See http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/no_status_bar_icon Edit: Oh, and your Standalone is then probably not sharing data direct…

Try updating your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. Perhaps you have automatic updating turned off.

I agree with that. IMO some users may not pay attention to the panel and immediately click OK (if in a hurry or something), so I am in favor of unchecked by default.
-
The way I picture this, the user would go to add a Web Page item manually and when he clicks on the "Web Page" option, we would pop up a message saying "Did you know that you can easily create webpage items by right-clicking on the web page and sele…

I think the vote-up is for I think that a first-run guidance panel would be useful. It would appear when clicking on the "More" button. [by the way, those guidance panels are a very good idea but they should appear more than once - a "don't show ag…

I don't have access either. You can go to the web pages you want Zotero to save, take a screenshot and then save the page via right-click -> Save [Page] as... and select "Web Page, complete" for the type. ZIP both and upload to Dropbox or someth…

Perhaps Scannable cites should be added as an option. ODF scan could work out quite well for writing on a tablet and it wouldn't matter if you want numerical style or not.
