Also, try switching to a different citation style and then back again. This will make improperly deleted citations re-appear in your document. See if you have any new (unwanted) citations and delete them.

All the "shortcuts" are described in both of the pages linked by adamsmith and myself. I don't think that people normally begin by trying to import all references listed in paper bibliographies. From my experience, you typically pick specific paper…

http://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_formatted_bibliographies Unfortunately, the answer is that Zotero cannot (easily) import existing bibliographies.

What window are you talking about? There is no window that should pop up between you entering the query and hitting Search and the results displaying. Is he/she searching in a group library, while you are searching in a local library?

Your best bet is probably what adamsmith suggests. Merging in changes in Word is not as difficult as it may seem. Get the "uncorrupted" version from Dropbox and then use Word's "Compare Documents" function (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/306484) to…

FWIW, I can't replicate this. I'm creating a test document in Word 2010 (tried doc and docx) with either Bookmark or Filed formatting and then editing in Kingsoft 5.8.1.160669-en00001. Upon syncing back to my computer, Zotero does not complain abou…

If you placed the file in Dropbox, you should be able to access older versions of the file (right-click on the file on dropbox.com and select Previous Versions). Pick the version before editing in KingSoft. There are probably other ways to recover …

I probably saw Date Accessed values. My bad.

Could you be more specific about what is not working? What are you searching for and what is (not) being returned? Dates, when entered, are parsed (to the best of Zotero's abilities) and stored in YYYY-MM-DD hh:mm:ss format (to as much granularity …

Your analysis is correct. We have a fix for this under review. If you're interested: https://github.com/zotero/zotero/pull/409

Actually, any text _with characters invalid in a host name_. Firefox attempts to load the text as http://www..com (or something like that) and if the text contains invalid characters (e.g. spaces), it gives "The address isn't valid" (without actuall…

I can replicate this, but don't have an immediate fix. As a workaround, you can achieve the same effect with Ctrl+Shift+C and Ctrl+Shift+A (for drag and Shift+drag respectively)

I see. Didn't notice the deference with the extra bold tags before. Thanks. This should be just fine.

I'm a bit confused by the purpose of this test. I thought the point would be to test what citeproc-js treats as a non-dropping particle (whether it recognizes them all and if it doesn't recognize things that are not particles). In that case, wouldn'…

In my experience it looks like zotero can save to a group library if you have it selected in the native client (and you are lucky :-) There really should be no luck involved. Are you able to replicate Zotero _not_ saving items to selected collectio…

I think most use cases would only require "dumb" terms, but I don't see why these terms would have to be restricted to "dumb" definitions. I think singular/plural term variants may be quite useful.
-
That seems to have happened a couple times. Give me a day or so and I'll try to come up with a less relaxed mechanism for particle matching.
-
Sorry, one last question. Could you link me to the test suite for non-dropping (and perhaps dropping) particles? I'm not very familiar with citeproc-js code layout. From a quick look, I think the regexps are a bit too relaxed and there doesn't seem…
-
That's ok. Where is the RegExp stored?
-
I meant in the citeproc-js code. I assume that list will not be up to date with what's currently in the processor.
-
Could you point me to the list of recognized particles in citeproc-js? I found a couple more unusual looking ones, and I want to check if they are being treated right (don't feel like testing all of the possibilities in Word).

"Emerald journals (Harvard)" will also include only 7 authors before et al. I don't recall which style has an un-truncated list of authors off the top of my head. adamsmith should know though. Edit: Actually what adamsmith said originally is what y…

Sorry for my ignorance, but why does the dropping or non-dropping part have to be hard-coded into the processor? I thought if a particle was dropping it's supposed to be entered as part of the First Name and if it is non-dropping, it's part of the L…

Couple notes: Zotero also works with Opera now It's a plugin, but ZotFile can extract annotations made in most popular PDF viewers = you choose where you want to annotate your PDFs Zotero's mobile site is quite good, so you can pretty much use it as…

The word plugin uses your local Zotero library. If you want to change your local library take a look at creating a different profile https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profile-manager-create-and-remove-firefox-profiles (applies to Standalone too).…

Zotero supports italics via formatting as well as superscript/subscript. The formatting in these cases actually has meaning, while san-serif/serif are purely decorative. If you could provide an example where monospace or oblique change the meaning,…

See http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-help/load-or-unload-a-template-or-add-in-program-HA010105537.aspx#BM2 It's for 2007, but should be very similar. You're trying to remove the EndNote add-in.

@hillke8, if you need help setting up syncing, let us know. It seems that it's not working for you right now. @uwmstubbs, when saving locally (i.e. either in Firefox or Standalone is open), Zotero saves to the currently selected collection. When sa…
