Not sure I follow what difficulty you are referring to.
-
What I meant is that you can capture a reference to an email message, which may or may not include an email snapshot (depending on your Zotero settings). Zotero is not meant for organizing your inbox. In order to do the above, you would have to go …

Depending on how you want this cited, this would probably be classified either as a Presentation or a Video Recording. Probably the former.

Go through the steps here: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#installation_error

I'm just saying that a solved thread from a year ago may lead you in the wrong direction as opposed to a recent thread without a "solved" tag (mostly because only 1% of users bother marking something as solved). So what I'm suggesting is that you sh…
-
But often something that was solved a year ago may no longer apply or the solution may even make things worse or just have users running around in circles. This is probably more so for Zotero than other software though.
-
Honestly, I dislike when people tag posts as solved (but I may be being a bit selfish here). I use an RSS reader to keep track of all the posts in the forum and when a post's title is edited, every post in the thread becomes marked as unread. I als…

That error above is not related to Zotero. See the error report link.
-
Did you find the Browser Console? If so, are there any errors in there (red/pink background)? If yes, copy them here. Also, see if you can send an error report http://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_bugs

If you are going to do step 4, I'd recommend disabling sync (at least file sync) while you're doing this.
-
But I can't imagine why you would want/need to know this beforehand, because you can't rely on the suffixes to remain stable. They may change as you insert more references.
-
It will appear in the bibliography next to the year.

there are some data that Harvard style needs like the location of the conference that none of these sites provide in their bibtext or citation reports. but the data is clearly on the website (e.g. IEEE).If you provide examples (in a new thread), we …

FWIW, seems to work ok on official Zotero, but obviously you're using MLZ. Does this happen with any of the references you are trying to insert or a specific one? Does it happen in a new document? I assume you've made sure that your MLZ is up to dat…

Please explain exactly (in more detail) what you're trying to do. It seems that you are trying to cite these items in a word processor. If that is the case, Zotero will (in most cases) automatically add suffixes to dates to disambiguate citations w…

where are you installing from? What's the exact message that you are getting?

Note that in Safari the icon is in a different location and looks differently altogether. http://www.zotero.org/static/images/blog/safaridemo.png

Let's try to figure out the Firefox issue first. Zotero in Firefox should always work on its own. So open Firefox, make sure you can click on the Zotero icon at the bottom of the screen and open your Zotero library, then go through the steps outline…

There's also PubMed Commons http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmedcommons/ Integration would be great, but it will probably take a few more months before it's likely to make an appearance.
-
I'm not aware of any automatic read/unread tagging (via plugin). You can manually mark read items with a tag, which is made easier by keyboard shortcuts (right-click a tag on the bottom left of Zotero screen and select Assign color. Then you can use…

Do you recall if you put anything unusual in the note? Perhaps you dragged-in an image? Also, if you click on the HTML button in the note editor, is the remainder of your note there (I doubt it, but it's worth a try). Is this in a group or personal …

Indeed, but he's been quite busy lately, plus I'm sure Dan can provide better (edit: better than me that is) guidance for some more trivial troubleshooting. (I was going to direct lincoln21 to check some file permissions, but I have no idea where LO…

I don't think Zotero registers itself as a zotero: handler system-wide (it's not working on my Windows system anyway). AFAICT, it only handles zotero: protocol within Firefox, but I haven't explored too much. It's not difficult to register as the ha…

Open the LibreOffice options dialog by choosing LibreOffice→Preferences…. In the dialog, click LibreOffice→Advanced. Ensure that “Use a Java runtime environment” is checked, and that a JRE is selected in the list below. (It may take a few seconds to…

Not currently, no, but I don't think anyone would be against it. It's just that someone has to code it and there are more pressing issues to resolve.

This is it. Devs read every forum post and they'll take it from here.

That _should_ have worked, but it seems to be a bit buggy. The list of references does show up in the "modern" version of Zotero Word add-on. It seems that you have the "classic" citation dialog enabled in your Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Wo…
-
(this is an unofficial hack) You can currently wrap the words (or letters, I guess) that you do not want title-cased in HTML tags. It doesn't look nice in Zotero, but it should produce correct titles in bibliographies/footnotes. It's practically i…

I restarted my Mac as you recommended; opened Zotero; went to Preferences>Cite>Word Processors and noted this: "The LibreOffice/Open Office.org/NeoOffice add-in is currently installed." So I decided not to install the extension immediately aft…

No, I'm afraid none of the above feature requests are being actively worked on. (1) seems logical and should be fairly easy to fix. (2) is a bit tricky, since it would have to introduce some sort of extra UI elements (and I'm not entirely sure how …
