Seems that Chrome (on its own, without connecting to ZSA) is not picking up the updated RDF translator. Can someone confirm that it's not just something odd on my end? I am seeing zotero.org responding with the update, but it doesn't look like Chro…

I think ZU.itemTypeExists(1) is functioning as intended here. We should have just been more careful about what we pass to it from the RDF translator. I added a check to make sure we don't consider integers.

I cannot reproduce this over my library proxy. If you can provide a Debug ID for a failed attempt to save the item, we might be able to figure this out.
-
Could you go through the relevant steps outlined here: http://www.zotero.org/support/troubleshooting_translator_issues ? If you get to step 12, please provide all of the requested information. Edit: FWIW, everything seems to be working ok on Windo…

Which citation style?

The next version of Zotero introduces considerable improvements to this issue. It essentially pops up a CAPTCHA window inside Zotero and AFAICT prevents "permanent" Google Scholar lockouts. A beta version (for Firefox only atm) is available here: ht…

Embedded Metadata usually (always?) shows the webpage icon Not always. It depends on how good the embedded metadata is. Usually, if it is showing the webpage icon there was not much metadata embedded, so the import well be of poor quality (as you sa…

See step 12. You need to provide details
-
I'll see if I can reproduce this from home via proxy

Yes, if a restart clears it, it's unlikely that we would be able to fix this bug.
-
You should disable all other extensions while testing. It's likely that noScript could be interfering.
-
Could you provide a Debug ID for an item that saves incorrectly via proxy?
-
Can you see if step 7 here applies to you? And if your settings were not as indicated, can you check if changing them fixes the proxy issue?
-
chrome in that error is not related to the Google Chrome browser. Looks like something is messed up with your translators. Try resetting them via Preferences -> Advanced -> Files and Folders -> Reset Translators. Give it 10 seconds or so a…

Things went well, until I have got all kinds of synchronization problemsIt probably would have been easier to address the underlying issue here. I finally thought to get rid of by deleting my whole library from the server. I have also cleaned my bot…

What browser are you using?

What browser are you using? Also, please include all relevant software versions (Zotero, browser, OS).
-
For any of the supported browsers that you want to use, you need to install the appropriate connector. You can download all of them from http://www.zotero.org/download/ They are listed under the big Zotero Standalone button. (Opera connector is not …

And feel free to link to a screenshot of you right-clicking the said item. You can upload the screenshot to imgur.com or something similar

@John, should be fixed now. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now @adamsmith, went with option 1
-
Thanks Dan. @duvane5678, should be fixed now. Update your translators as per above and try again.
-
It will take some time before Dan can come around and take a look at the Debug ID. Thanks for reporting btw.
-
ScienceDirect should be fixed. Update your translators via Preferences -> General -> Update Now. You'll need to reload the page.
-
By "click through to the individual record page", which link are you clicking? The Abstract and Detailed links work for me and the Full Text leads me to ScienceDirect, which is obviously currently broken.
-
Working on the ScienceDirect fix (they changed their website a bit). I can't access the link for Engineering Village (it's tied to your session). Can you provide more detail on what search you are performing and what links you are clicking to get t…

Right, based on the debug log that should be the case. And if it is, then @cwren should check to see what s/he sees when following this link: http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0305440313004342/pdfft?md5=e4a99603920eac0b7a2b9739882c16…

I can't reproduce this with the URL that was given by @cwren, but it also does not seem to correspond to the debug log. @cwren, can you submit a Debug ID from Standalone for the URL you posted above (i.e. http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article…

Should be fixed. Same instructions for updating as before. P.S. We have to specifically add all of these Copernicus websites, because they do not have a generalized URL, so you may find more that are not recognized. Just post them here if that's th…

At least on Windows PDF tools has issues with non-latin characters in PDF file names. Try renaming the PDF (through Zotero) if that is the case.
