We need to troubleshoot problems one at the time. If you cannot open Zotero, it unexpectedly quits or you get error messages, that's a separate issue that you should create a separate thread about and we should troubleshoot it. On the other hand an…

Describe the problem that you are facing in detail. What have you tried yourself and what happened at each step?

Zotero does not interact with SharePoint at all, but if you had accidentally saved the document with SharePoint (or SharePoint auto-saved it for you), it could have conceivably flattened Zotero citations.
-
We occasionally see issues like this, but we have not been able to find the ultimate reason. You should try to reset as much of the Word configuration files as you can on your original Windows account.
-
Another thing to try would be creating a new User Account in Windows and testing whether citing with Zotero works there (which would indicate an issue with some user or Word configuration in your existing account).
-
Hard to say what's the problem here. It seems that Microsoft provides custom builds of Word in China and I cannot even find it in the official version history, but it could be a bug in a recent Word update. Can you roll back to an earlier version of…
-
No, you should test in a new Firefox profile to see if you still see the bug there. The errors that are being thrown by Firefox/Zotero are quite unusual and could be caused by other extensions interfering or corruption in your Firefox profile, which…

This is a known issue, although it doesn't exist in new versions of Word. You can see the correct word count by making a copy of your document and using "Unlink Citations" option in the Zotero plugin in Word.

Have you tried restarting your computer? Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for an operation that takes a long time?
-
This error is displayed when you first attempt to perform a Zotero action with your document, at which point you're prompted to select a user account. You should select an account that has access to the document there. Is that what you do? If so, do…

Try disabling or removing any other extensions you have installed in Word, as well as disabling any security software you're running.
-
You should try disabling all other extensions in your browser and seeing whether that helps. If not, try creating a new Firefox profile and see if it works there.

Could you submit a Report ID from both Zotero and the Zotero Connector?
-
Describe the problem that you are having in full detail and what you have done to try to resolve it.
-
Do you have the Zotero Connector installed in your browser? Did you try testing in another browser? Disabling other extensions? Is "Enable Google Docs Integration" checked in Zotero Connector Preferences -> Advanced?

What's the full version number of Word that you are using? Did you try updating Word? Have you tried restarting your computer? You can try disabling security software if you're running anything proprietary. Does it work well in a new document? If no…

You wouldn't notice it until you had quite a few citations in a document. Zotero is retrieving 2 citations per second based from the debug log you sent us. Usually it's 50+ citations per second. It's mostly proportional to the number of citations (a…

Thanks for reporting. I've created a ticket for this. We'll try address this as soon as possible and update in this thread.

Does citing in footnotes work fine for you?
-
Does this happen if you insert a citation directly from text, or only when inserting into an existing endnote?
-
Could you submit a Report ID? What Word processor and which version are you using?
-
Could you submit a Report ID from Zotero? Does it work well in a new document?

Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for a citation insert in an unsaved document, and an attempted insertion for that document after you save it?

The Word plugin on Windows is usually very fast even with large documents and many citations. Looking at the debug log it seems that Zotero plugin is slow retrieving citations, something that it's usually very fast at, so disabling other plugins wou…

Make sure all editors have the Zotero Connector installed and if prompted authorized with the user account that has permissions to edit the documents. Then, don't copy any text by selecting and dragging it with the mouse. Instead use copy and paste …

I'm afraid the screenshot and debug log you sent us doesn't give us much more insight into what's causing it. It might help to temporarily create a new windows user account and see whether it works there, which would indicate some configuration opti…
-
@aarwdc I'm not sure if I'm reading the debug log right, but it seems that perhaps you are refreshing the document in Google Docs? When the document is initially loading, it is expected that you will see google docs links that link to zotero.org ins…

From the testing we have done ourselves collaborative editing with Zotero in Word via OneDrive should work - other collaborators should see citations added via Zotero. We didn't test this very thoroughly though, since our plugin was designed way bef…
