This needs to be cross-checked across versions of Word. Those guidelines do apply to LibreOffice and Google Docs too though. Google Docs doesn't really have captions, but it definitely causes issues in LibreOffice.

What do you mean by "unificar todas las citas en la referencia". What button are you pressing in Word? You insert citations in text by pressing the Add/Edit Citation button, and you insert the bibliography (reference list) by pressing Add/Edit Bibli…

Please describe in full details what you're doing, what you expect to happen and what happens instead.

@mlannigan You should still generate a Debug ID from Zotero and post it here. Also, please refresh the google docs page, then attempt to insert a citation with Zotero like you did in the video you sent. After the "Please wait" message disappears, pr…

Word controls formatting for footnotes. This isn't exclusive to Zotero, if you insert footnotes yourself, you will see they are formatted the same way.

Both your version of OS and Word are heavily outdated. When these versions of Word and OS were current, we had many reports like this, but with the up-to-date versions of OS and Word today we don't really get any. We are not sure whether it was Word…

@pablocomo You have a very old version of the Zotero Word plugin back from when Zotero was a Firefox extension. You don't need to install the Word plugin separately anymore, it comes bundled with Zotero, but if you do install an old version, it over…

What are you doing when trying to install and what does the error say?

Do you get a crash report from macOS? Could you send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?
-
What version of Word are you using? Do you use any security software?
-
You will need to describe in more detail what you're doing and what's happening.

We should restart debugging where we left off last year. Send in a video demonstrating the issue. Generated a Debug ID from Zotero that contains an attempt to cite that fails. Try disabling other extensions in Chrome, especially the Google Docs Offl…

It's most likely the fault of LibreOffice 7.4. You could probably revert LibreOffice versions 5 years back and wouldn't see this behavior with the Zotero plugin, so something in the new version of LO is causing it. Perhaps it's new intended behavior…

Your shortcut should call ZoteroAddEditCitation. Your shortcut is now the same as clicking the Add Note button in the extension, which is used to insert notes, not items. See https://www.zotero.org/blog/#adding_notes_to_word_processors

I'm afraid not. I imagine the settings of your previous Normal.dotm are stored in your existing documents, which is why they are not fixed.
-
Yes. You will have to reset your Word config. Start with renaming your Normal.dotm (to something else, like Normal.dotm.bak) and let Word recreate it https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-normal-template-normal-dotm-06de294b-d216-47f…

Hm. This is highly unusual. It's most likely something with Word config. The quickest way to test that is to create a new Windows user account and see whether it works there.
-
@jvbowler I reviewed the documents you have sent us and I am not seeing any difference between the two, except that the second one contains a bibliography. I inserted a bibliography into the first document, but I didn't see any formatting difference…

Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for inserting a bibliography into a new document with one cited book with APA? Do you get italics in other word processors: LibreOffice or Google Docs?
-
Not all citation styles use italics in bibliography, and not for every item type. Try citing a book with APA7. The book title should be italicized.
-
Which citation style are you using in Word? What's the full version number of Word? Have you recently installed any new Word plugins?
-
Could you submit a Report ID from Zotero? Does it insert properly styled bibliography in a new Word document? If so, see Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents

See https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_toolbar_doesn_t_appear If nothing in these instructions help, please fully describe what you've tried and what happened at each step.

Can you reproduce this in a new document? If you can, make a small sample document and send it to support@zotero.org. Also please clearly describe and post here the steps to reproduce the issue, what you're doing and what happens.

Zotero is not able to insert citations into Google Docs in Suggestion mode. We'll add a tooltip to the disabled menu for clarity.

Your first error report is not appropriate for LibreOffice. The .docx format does not support .odt ReferenceMarks, which Zotero uses to store citations. There is nothing LibreOffice can or should do there. As for your second comment there, you shoul…
