Ok, this may be a Safari specific issue and we will look for a fix. In the meantime you can avoid it by using another browser, or by logging in into only a single Google account.

Could you produce two Debug IDs from Zotero? One for when the citation window open slowly, and one, where it opens fast. It is expected to be slower after restarting Zotero, or when starting to work on a new document, so preferably do this not as t…

Google Docs only authorizes Zotero for 1 hour, after which we need to request another authorization. However, if you don't close the browser, the re-authorization should be automatic, Zotero will pop open a window for a second and then close it agai…

We have not got reports about this before and I'm not sure whether it's because such a rarely-used feature, or because it's been recently added, but I've created a ticket to track it.

Zotero's ability to save snapshots is not impacted by script blockers. I.e. even if you block all scripts on the page, Zotero will still save a snapshot of that page. The content saved in the snapshot, obviously, is affected by script blockers, sinc…

Zotero's ability to save snapshots is not impacted by script blocking or similar extensions and it saves the document precisely as displayed in the user browser (unless the snapshot is saved by Zotero as detailed above). If you want the Zotero snaps…

Support for citing in tables is hit-and-miss across different Word processors, although more often a miss. There is some code in the LibreOffice plugin codebase that attempts to handle citations in tables that was written over 10 years ago by a deve…

internally in regard to Zotero Connector browser plugin, or internally in regard to Zotero app? The Connector. For user, is it easy to see if particular Library item ran this track? No, the only way for the user to see this is in the Zotero debug lo…

Zotero is running SingleFile internally to capture the document snapshot, which uses the live document and whatever is loaded in it. So content blocked by other extensions, including ad or script blockers will not be saved. In some cases Zotero cann…

Remove that citation and reinsert it.

I'm sorry, but this is a Microsoft issue, and one we cannot reproduce ourselves. It only occurs on some machines and not others. You should try reporting it to Microsoft.
-
If you change your Word and/or macOS language to English US temporarily, does it fix the issue?
-
What do you mean by Zotero freezes? Can you interact with the main Zotero window? Do you see a progress dialog? Could you restart Zotero, refresh the document and produce a Debug ID from Zotero for an operation that "freezes" Zotero?
-
Then it is likely that you are either saving the file in an unsupported format, or the citations are stripped during file transmission. What do you use to share the file?
-
You have to be using the same word processor and save the document in a supported file format with your collaborator.
-
See https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/existing_citations_not_detected If this does not help, describe in more detail what you're doing? Are you collaborating with someone, or it's just you using different computers? How do you transfer the file? Wh…

Usually this is resolved by not using space symbols. Make sure you are only using unaccented latin symbols and numbers in the filename and place it as close to the top of your OneDrive. Basically, this issue is caused by Word providing conflicting i…

Does Zotero work in files that you save locally in your computer, not in OneDrive? Did you try changing the directories in OneDrive and seeing if it works when saved somewhere else?
-
Can you provide an URL where you can reproduce this issue, and a Debug ID from Zotero Connector for a an attempt where saving with ACM translator fails?

Zotero creates these hyperlinks in Google Docs because there is no better way to create citations in Google Docs. The links don't lead anywhere and the feature you are looking for does not exist with Zotero. You can see full citation information in …

First thing to check is whether you have Google Docs Integration V2 enabled in Zotero Connector (browser extension) Preferences under Advanced. If you do, disable it and refresh the Google Docs page. Otherwise you will need to follow the troubleshoo…

Unfortunately Zotero cannot display the citation dialog over full-screen MacOS applications. This is a limitation of the Firefox platform that we are based on. We will be able to do it as soon as Firefox gains that ability, which is currently not av…

Use the Add/Edit Bibliography button to insert the bibliography.

See Reporting Problems? Please describe the issue in full detail with steps to reproduce. If you have multiple issues that do not seem related, describe them separately.

@swat318 Testing this I cannot seem to reproduce it. Does it only happen if you select text in the document? Can you create a video recording of this issue occurring in a new document, upload it somewhere (like Dropbox) and post a link here?

If you are running Word on macOS you may need to wait a while for the bibliography to get inserted. Unfortunately we are unable to display a progress bar during the bibliography insertion operation. If that doesn't work, restart Zotero, then you pro…

You should reset the Full-Text Cache value to its default, it has nothing to do with word processors. There's no solution to this. Zotero has to "load up" the document after restart and there is no way to speed up the first interaction.

If the item doesn't disappear from the Bibliography it means it is still cited somewhere in the document. You may temporarily enable field code display and then use Word's find (Ctrl/Cmd-F) dialog to search for the cited item in citations in this do…

You should not remove the entries from the bibliography via the Edit Bibliography dialog, if you are not citing that item anymore. You should remove it from the text, then it will automatically disappear from the bibliography upon refreshing the doc…
