There's a bug in Safari at the moment that we are unable to reproduce and fix. You will have to switch to Chrome or Firefox in the meantime to work with Google Docs.

We'll add it for the notes, no reason not to https://github.com/zotero/zotero/issues/3642

Could you create a new temporary Zotero profile and see if it occurs there?

Wait, you're not even getting a blinking cursor in the dialog box? Seems like this could be caused by a config option. Could you go to your profile directory and rename prefs.js to prefs-bak.js, then restart Zotero?

Could you produce a Debug ID for opening the citation dialog and pressing Spacebar?

Does it work in Troubleshooting Mode (Help → "Restart in Troubleshooting Mode…"), with all plugins disabled? Submit a Report ID.

You should report this to the developer of the extension that is causing the bug.

There's currently a problem with Safari that we are unable to reproduce. Google Docs works fine with Chrome, Firefox or Edge.

Does this happen in a new document? Could you submit a Report ID?
-
Does it happen if you disable extensions in Zotero and restart? If it does, could you create a screen recording, upload it somewhere (like dropbox) and post a link here?

Could you submit a Report ID?

You have to close Zotero in the other user, or configure Zotero on each account to be able to work with multiple Zotero instances

You will have to follow the last step in the troubleshooting instructions.

Can you describe step by step what you're doing, starting from pressing the Add/Edit Citation button in Word, what happens and what you expect to happen?
-
Does it work if you disable all extensions in Zotero, restart it, then try to save the same paper again? If not, can you provide another Debug ID?
