This is a variation of an existing LibreOffice issue. The horizontal line is just a paragraphy style in LibreOffice with a Next Style property set to Text Body.

Are these institutional computers or are you troubleshooting for a private computer? Could some group policy be overriding this? Can you create a new Windows user account on this computer and see if you get the Zotero tab there?
-
Do you get a prompt to enable macros when opening the file manually? What are your macro settings set to in the trust centre?

Make sure you are using Zotero Connector version 5.0.118. If it does not work, you can either switch to Firefox temporarily where Zotero Connector 5.0.119 is available, or wait about 24 hours until Google and Microsoft approve that version for relea…

If you open Zotero.dotm in Word manually, do you see the Zotero tab?

Restart Zotero and your browser. Try to cite again. If the citation dialog does not appear, look through open Zotero windows -- sometimes the citation dialog fails to pop open in front of the Google Docs browser. If it still does not work, restart Z…

If you have modified you Normal.dotm template in Word the Zotero tab might not appear. Resetting it might help. Find your Normal.dotm file under C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Templates and move it somewhere else temporarily (like your…

You should submit a Debug ID from Zotero, not the Zotero Connector. Also make sure it's an attempt to insert a new citation. Do you see this problem in a new document?

This is an item in your Zotero library that contains a quote " character in its URL field. If the bibliography was formatted well until now, it's likely some item that you have inserted recently. You can find it in your Zotero library by opening the…

We have fixed a few issues in Google Docs integration since you've reported yours, but it seems like you are encountering something different from everyone else. Could you once again follow the instructions in my comment above https://forums.zotero.…
-
@ccm5u can you reproduce this in a new document? If not, then it's most likely caused by some item that you have cited having an URL field that contains a quote " character. You can fix it by replacing it with a %22 in Zotero.

See Zotero Toolbar does not appear
-
Yes, if you have manually edited your citations and when prompted by Zotero chose to keep those modifications, then Zotero will not convert them for you. To re-enable Zotero management of those citations, you should put your cursor in them and press…

When you return back to the Google Docs window, do you sometimes see the page refresh?
-
Could you open the developer tools (Cmd-Option-I) in an existing Google Docs document, switch to the Console tab, paste in document.querySelector("#docs-save-indicator-badge .docs-icon-img").className and post the output here?
-
Does this happen consistently after restarting Zotero and your browser in a new document?

Could you open the developer tools (Cmd-Option-I) in a Google Docs document, switch to the Console tab, paste in document.querySelector("#docs-save-indicator-badge .docs-icon-img").className and post the output here? Could you also submit a Debu…

It is possible that you are being throttled by Google Docs due to too many requests in short time. It is likely to start working again after some time. Generally we don't recommend using Google Docs for documents of such scope with Zotero due to Goo…

You should submit a Report ID after having received the error without restarting Zotero.
-
This isn't the error you should be seeing when trying to edit an existing citation, but it most likely means the citation you are trying to edit is unlinked. You should remove and reinsert that citation.
-
Could you try disabling other extensions but Zotero, restarting the browser and seeing if saving works then? If not, could you press Ctrl-Shift-I in the page after it fails to save, switch to the Console tab and see if there are any messages related…

Do you have the Zotero application open? What version of macOS, Word and Zotero are you running?
-
What are you doing in between being prompted to reuthorized? Are you still working on the document, browsing some other websites, etc.?
-
Make sure you are running the latest version of the Zotero Connector. If it still does not work, provide a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector for a refresh of the page and attempt to save.
-
Note that you might need to restart Zotero and refresh the Google Docs tab after installing the Zotero Connector beta.

However it freezes random portions of my paper, most frequently the following paragraph I have seen this in testing. This is a Google Docs editor bug and you should report it to them (e.g. by using Help -> Help Docs improve). Otherwise you can na…

Oh, I didn't even realize this. It seems that the current Apache OpenOffice is actually a fork of NeoOffice https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apache_OpenOffice . We mostly discontinued official support for OpenOffice as we considered it to be itself dis…
-
OpenOffice may be more stable for some operations, but it is also discontinued since 2011 and hence why not supported by Zotero. In this case I'm not sure it's a matter of stability either way.

Note that if you do not click through the dialog in Google Docs, by pressing one of the buttons (or you close the Google Docs tab completely), then attempting to use the Zotero integration with any other editor will result in nothing happening until…
