Restart Zotero and refresh the Google Docs page. If this still happens look through open Zotero windows and see if the citation dialog opened and simply didn't pop up on top of other windows. Software that manages your windows may interfere with the…

Development questions and requests should be posted on the zotero-dev mailing list. Please elaborate more about what you're trying to achieve, what happens now and what and why you expect to happen instead.

This isn't a feature for us to support. Zotero Connector will save the contents of the page as they appear in the browser. Your best bet is to either find a page where the full contents of this book are available or a PDF of the book.

Are you sure that all Zotero windows completely freeze and do not respond?

See Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents, particularly number 4.

If you refresh the Google Docs tab in your browser does the unlinked citations button reappear after interacting with the plugin?
-
Do you use any security software that interacts with your clipboard, like stores its history (e.g. TextExpander, LaunchBar)? Have you tried restarting your Mac?

You should submit a Debug ID from the Zotero Connector.

Refresh the Google Docs page and submit a Debug ID from Zotero Connector for opening and closing the Document Preferences in the document.

Post the full URL of the page where you are having issues. For webpages without translators there is a preference in Zotero Preferences -> General that controls this. Make sure it's checked.

Restart Zotero and refresh the Google Docs page. Submit a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to insert a citation.

There's a Zotero citation in your document that's had its content replaced with a dot "." and Zotero is trying to select it. Restart Zotero and refresh your Google Doc, find it manually and delete it.

I've sent you the recovered document from the one you've sent us. Sorry for the trouble.

Can you restart Zotero and wait for it to fully load up and sit without doing anything for a minute, then enable debug logging and produce another Debug ID for changing the collection?
-
Right, but if you want us to fix this for you so that you can permanently upgrade to Zotero 7, you will need to perform the troubleshooting there. You can install both Zotero 6 and 7 alongside each other, e.g. by installing the portable version of 7…

Submit a Debug ID from Zotero 7 for an attempt to insert a citation.
-
You can enable the display of Word field codes and look for the article that appears in the bibliography and remove it that way.
-
Restart you computer and try again. If this still occurs create a Debug ID for an attempt to insert a citation.

See Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents.

See Reporting Problems and Troubleshooting Issues with Zotero Translators. Provide more information.

If you restart Zotero does this still occur. Can you reproduce it in a new document? How are you adding the citations?
-
This isn't fundamentally a bug in Zotero, but an issue caused either by some bug in macOS or Safari, or occurs due to user configuration or other software interfering, which is why we recommend testing in a new user account, where user configuration…

Restart Zotero and refresh the google docs browser tab. Submit a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to insert a citation.
-
This will only work if both of you used the same word processor: Word, Google Docs and LibreOffice. See Existing Citations Not Detected
-
Not sure how you're getting this to occur. When Zotero starts do you see the item list? Does this happen when you change the collection in the left pane? Are you switching to a different library (from one group library to another, or to your library…

Right click on the Zotero Connector extension icon in Chrome and make sure that the option "This can read and change site data" is set to "On all sites", then refresh Google Docs. You should see a Zotero menu option appear in Google Docs.
-
What browser are you using? You need to allow Zotero Connector to run on all sites, or at least on Google docs page. You can change this setting in the browser extension preferences.
