The first sentence of that section is "If after installing the plugin the Zotero tab has an empty label, it means Word Macro settings are preventing the Zotero plugin from running." I guess we should add an additional note for institutional compute…

It should work fine with 32-bit Word and Edge, but you should test to make sure. It's not very likely that the 64-bit version will significantly help with performance, but it cannot hurt to try.

See https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_troubleshooting#zotero_tab_has_an_empty_label If this is an institutional machine, macros may be disabled by group policy, in which case you will have to speak to your IT.

Could you describe the issue better? See Reporting Problems. Could you provide more information about your document (tabs, number of pages/citations)?
-
Thanks for the report. I've created a ticket to track this. We have disabled saving snapshots from multiple items pages due to snapshots very frequently being wrong and giving users a false sense of having a correct snapshot plus using up storage. W…

@mrrafaelmoura You can also use the Zotero button in the button bar https://s3.amazonaws.com/zotero.org/images/forums/u2735919/rujey0wmdkiw8pbe4zmq.png or the menu option under the Zotero menu, that way you will not have to reinsert the citation. …

@poettli Could you post some pictures and your distro information?
-
@hmark for the record, you are not actually seeing these in any error dialogs that Zotero is showing right? You just see a message that there was an error updating your document, with a link to troubleshooting instructions? Could you provide a Debug…

How did you insert citations into Google Docs? Did you use the plugin or did you insert them by copying from Zotero and pasting? If the latter, you should make sure you have the correct format selected in Zotero Preferences -> Export.
-
Restart Zotero and your browser and if you still have an issue, provide a Debug ID from Zotero for an attempt to insert a citation that fails.
-
This also happens if the citation requires any special formatting, so all bibliography entries, as well as styles like Chicago (full note), that italicize parts of the citation. The errors in your report log are consistent with interference from cli…

It is your clipboard software interfering. It only happens when you cite items that contain non-latin characters (or latin with diacritics). You should ensure it's fully disabled, and might try to termporarily remove it and restart your Mac.

Sorry, there's currently a bug in the Google Docs integration handling of tabbed documents. We'll release a fix as soon as possible. You can work around that in the meantime by only citing in the first tab, or copying the contents of the tabs with c…

Try in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode). If it doesn't work, submit a Report ID.

What OS are you running? What version of Chrome?
-
Do you run any proprietary security software and have you tried testing with it disabled?
-
Is the version of Word that you are running up to date? What version is it? Crowdstrike or other proprietary security software could certainly cause it, so you should test with it disabled.

There is a table in your document that is causing this bug. Could you follow the final step in Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents and produce a small snippet that contains the table that causes this issue? Then share it with support@…

See Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents. If that doesn't help, tell us what you've tried and what happened at each step.

This is a known bug in the current version of Zotero. A fix is pending.
-
Would you be willing to share the document with support@zotero.org for troubleshooting? We are testing an update to the Google Docs integration and you've encountered an unexpected bug. If not, would you follow the final step from Troubleshooting Er…

Restart Zotero in troubleshooting mode and see if you can drag in PDFs to attach to items, and if saves from Zotero Connector work with PDFs. Also check under Zotero Preferences -> General, that the checkbox to automatically attach associated PDF…

What do you mean that you cannot add local pdfs into Zotero? What are you trying to do and what happens? Did you try in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode)? Submit a Report ID from Zotero. Then submit a Debug ID from t…

The error is benign, but it means that something went wrong in the citing procedure, like Zotero got closed while the citation dialog was opened (e.g. by restarting your computer). You should remove any instances of {Updating} that exist in your doc…
-
You should remove every instance of the bibliography in this document completely and try refreshing again, overriding the lock. The bibliography is likely causing this. Also see Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents
-
Download the latest version of Zotero from the download page and reinstall it (remove previous version files and replace with new ones).
-
I'm afraid your best bet is to split your document into multiple chapter-documents to improve this. There's a long-standing bug in Mac Word that affects some users more than others, and is seemingly random. It may depend on system load, number of op…

What version of Word are you running? Make sure it's the latest version.
-
Make sure you remove any stray {Updating} text from your document. Do you have a bibliography in your document? Is it making duplicates of itself? If you remove it, does it start working?
-
You should remove any instances of {Citation} from your document. If you then still have problems, provide a Report ID, and describe precisely what you're doing and what's happening step by step.
