@LiseMtn would you try the Zotero Beta and see if you can still reproduce the issue there without workarounds?

See Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents

You should disable the configured proxy for your old university in the Zotero Connector preferences https://www.zotero.org/support/connector_preferences#proxies
-
There's no hyperlinking between bibliography entries and citations generated by Zotero.
-
Do you run any security software on your mac, or some proxy software? Does it work if you disable it?
-
Remove all instances of the bibliography and reinsert it using Add/Edit Bibliography from the Zotero menu.

If you open a new Word document, then open Terminal.app and paste in curl -X GET "http://127.0.0.1:23119/integration/macWordCommand?agent=MacWord16&command=addEditCitation&document=/Applications/Microsoft Word.app/&templateV…

We've released a fix on Zotero Beta. Could you install that and see if you can still see the issue? Your Zotero library data will not be affected.

If it's an issue in your document then probably not. If it is a bug in Zotero then we will definitely fix it. We will of course only use your document for troubleshooting the issue. Ideally you would isolate a small part of the document where the is…

What is the version of Chrome that you are running? Can you update to the latest version and see if the issue still occurs?
-
Based from the debug log you have submitted I see that your document has a bunch of Zotero citations that are corrupted, which is why Zotero removes them. If you insert a regular citation into this document, instead of a note, do you see the same be…

Could you follow the final step of Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents and isolate a small snippet where this occurs? Then produce a Debug ID for an insertion into that small snippet which causes things to break and send it to support…

Could you go into Zotero Connector preferences, open developer tools (Ctrl-Shift-i or Cmd-Option-i on a Mac) switch to the Console tab and see if there are any errors? Could you copy them and post them here?
-
All browser extensions carry potential security risks, but Zotero Connector is not exceptional in that regard. Perhaps all browser extensions have been disabled? You should ask your IT why Zotero Connector is not allowed.

If you open developer tools in Zotero Connector preferences page, (Ctrl-Shift-i or Cmd-Option-i on a Mac) and switch to the Console tab, are there any errors? Could you copy them and post them here?

@gx_2333 Please create a new thread and describe your issue in your own words as well as list the things you have tried. See Reporting Problems.

See Reporting Problems. Please don't create multiple threads.

Unless this happens with a new Chrome profile, this is likely caused by some corruption in your current one. Clearing other browser data might help. There is a way to clear data of a specific extension but it is complicated.

What Word processor and what is the full version of it that you are using? Does this happen in a new document? Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents might be helpful.

They seem to be plugin added columns. If they are, the plugin creator may have made them not resizable. If you can reproduce this after restarting Zotero in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode) we can try to troubleshoot…

We've updated the Beta again. The issue should be fixed. Could you check and confirm that it works fine for you with the most recent version?
-
Restart Zotero in Troubleshooting Mode (Help -> Restart in Troubleshooting Mode), restart your browser and see if it's fixed. If it is, one of your plugins in Zotero is causing it and you will have to figure out which one.

@jg.ho @jin9465 @braxon For the longest time Word didn't even show the Zotero tab in the quick access list of options. They seem to have tried to fix it, but it indeed doesn't work. It's a Word bug. However you can add Zotero functions to the Quick …

Yes, it's still in the works. Sorry for the optimistic timeline. We nearly have the fix ready, but I'll avoid giving timelines in case it gets held up again.
