Can you produce a Debug ID for an operation that takes a long time?
-
Provide a Debug ID for an attempt to insert a citation that fails.
-
Could you follow Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents? Particularly, it seems that some table in your document is breaking the Zotero plugin. Could you try isolating it, and sharing with support@zotero.org?
-
You should report this, and look for troubleshooting help to LibreOffice.

Thanks, issue created https://github.com/zotero/zotero-word-for-windows-integration/issues/81

If Word crashes it's generally a Word bug, not a Zotero one. You should report it to Microsoft with steps to reproduce.
-
Restart your browser. If it still happens, submit a Report ID from the Zotero Connector.
-
It's not possible to the Zotero desktop application to access resources behind a proxy. You should save items from your browser via the Zotero Connector. For existing items, you should save the articles manually and attach to those items by dragging…

What operating system? What word processor? Could you submit a Report ID?
-
Possibly, although not necessarily. In my experience minimizing Zotero, instead of switching to another application without minimizing is what usually causes the Zotero citation dialog to not appear. I've not investigated how LibreOffice and Word m…

Restart Zotero and provide a Debug ID for an attempt to insert a citation if you still see that.
-
You should backup the styles in your Zotero Data folder then go into Zotero Settings -> Cite and select Restore Default Styles..., then restart Zotero.

This has been explained numerous times on these forums. Window focus is controlled by the OS, and Zotero has limited control over whether its windows appear on top or not. Zotero informs every OS that it runs on - Windows, Linux, and macOS - that it…

Please submit a Report ID.

Please create new threads, don't post on a 6 year old topic unless you are 100% sure it's the same issue. Delete Zotero.app and reinstall it from Zotero website, then restart your mac. Your Zotero library data will not be affected.

@Auliann This seems like an OS issue. Does restarting your computer help? If you force close Zotero (e.g. in task manager), and reopen, is it still frozen? What is the full version number of Windows that you are running?
-
Restart your computer. Start Zotero before you start Word.
-
Could you try installing Zotero 8 and seeing if it works correctly there?
-
Delete the bibliography from your document. Then produce a Debug ID from Zotero for pressing the Add/edit bibliography menu option in Google Docs. Does this happen if you insert different citations into a new document? Use a different citation styl…

You are running a Beta version of Word. You should revert to the stable version and see if you still see the issue there. If you do, follow Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents.
-
Yes, the Zotero Connector cannot work if it's set to only run on pages on click, since for saving it often needs to fetch resources outside of the domain (page) that it's running on, and that browser setting restricts it from accessing any other dom…

Have you tried restarting your computer? What OS and what browser version are you using?
-
What citation style are you using? Does this happen in a new document?
-
See Reporting Problems. Provide more information.

Items from the web browser are saved in the selected collection in Zotero. It was justified as 'We're not able to show the proper save popup in Firefox when viewing a PDF', but I guess that is not true anymore? as I can see the popup box for non-pdf…

If you're working with Word, you should save as .doc or .docx. .odt file format with Word is not supported, as the format doesn't support the Word Fields which are used to store Zotero citation data in the document.
-
It doesn't matter that you cannot see what references they are. You just need to verify whether you get the behaviour where Zotero says that references have been modified after reverting to an earlier version of the document. This isn't standard or…

Seems like breakage that may be at least partially on Google's side. You should make a copy of your document, and then try reverting it to an earlier state in Google Docs version history, and see when the error starts appearing. If you can figure o…

You will need to follow Troubleshooting Errors in Word Processor Documents and if nothing helps provide the information requested on that page before we can help you.
