@teresafr does it happen in a new document with the small caps style that you have been using in this document? Could you produce a Debug ID from Zotero for inserting a citation with this style in a new doc? 1. In the Help menu, go to Debug Output …

Yes. To fix that you need to reinstall the Word plugin, as described above and restart Word. If it doesn't work, try reinstalling the plugin manually https://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_manual_installation#manually_installing_the_zo…

In Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors reinstall the Word addon.

Zotero integration works fine with Word 16.12. You can try reinstalling the plugin in Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors. If it still doesn't work, submit a Report ID.

If you restart Word and Zotero, does the problem disappear?

Could you make a snippet of this document with citation 50 and 57 and send it to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread? Citation #57 is going to be in the footnote 103 and citation #50 some footnotes before it.

Do you get any kind of Word crash report? If you do, could you paste that in a gist on gist.github.com and send a link to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

Could you produce a startup Debug ID? https://www.zotero.org/support/reporting_problems#reporting_startup_errors Most likely this is due to corrupt database. The Zotero database can get corrupted if you store your data directory in a Dropbox or sim…

You cannot get the Zotero buttons into a toolbar on Mac Word 2011 unfortunately.

@csm007 Do you recall ever getting the crash with only a single Word document open?

What is the specific version of Word (like 15.13)? Have you tried reinstalling the Word plugin from Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors?

It looks like the Zotero plugin is failing to reinstall for you properly. Could you try reinstalling the plugin manually? You might need to check your startup directory first.

Could you send this document with the citation that looks incorrect to support@zotero.org with a link to this thread?

@solene%2Efrileux I took a look at your doc and I'm afraid I have no good news. The field codes in the document are corrupt, possibly a result of editing in LibreOffice, usage of track changes or failed syncing via services like Dropbox. You will ha…

Are you saying that in a backup copy of the document, if you refresh or change citation styles, the previously-active citations become inactive? Or do you have two copies of the document? Are you storing references as Bookmarks?
-
Sorry for the trouble. If you are using the delayed citing mode and after refresh you see your bibliography displayed (instead of the placeholder telling you that bibliography needs to be updated via a refresh), then it means that Zotero managed to …
-
For the update that you ran overnight, did you use Word 2016 or Word 2011?
-
I am exactly not sure what it is that you are referring to, but if you place the cursor in one of these inactive citations and press Add/Edit Citation do you get a dialog with the cited items, or is the dialog empty?

We haven't had any recent reports of LibreOffice plugin instability aside from yours. It should generally work fine. If you can reproduce this in a new document with a stable set of commands, we can take a look.
-
@alvarocancela You can now try installing the Zotero Beta, which should fix the issue you were seeing. We will update when the fix is available in the stable release.

Does the document appear updated (e.g. is bibliography present, or does it display a notice for delayed citing mode)? If you create a new document, insert a citation, then modify its text and try to edit it with Zotero, does the prompt for modified …

I don't think we will be able to help with this one. It is not a general Zotero problem and saving from behind proxies works fine for many users. It is not clear why, but it seems that your university proxy return an empty HTTP 200 response or somet…
