To those still experiencing this: could you download the Zotero Beta open it, then go into Zotero Preferences -> Cite -> Word Processors, reinstall the Word processor and see whether the issue is fixed after that?

Oh yeah, there is a bug when converting directly from endnotes to in-text styles that we haven't got around to fixing. It's best to not go directly to endnotes to in-text styles and vice-versa, and to do the conversion via footnotes.

Do you run any security software on this Mac? Have you tried disabling it? Does it help if you make sure that both Zotero and Word windows are visible on screen? Does inserting citations ever succeed or does it fail every time?
