Got it, thank you. > switching to a group mid-project is a mess I can see that, yes. But at this point I just wanted to grab all the papers so my collaborator can easily read them, I don't really need her to edit the metadata.

Thank you! Is there a way to select cited items automatically through word or zotero, or do I have to find every citation manually to create a new library? It would be pretty tough to sort through, and often citations are in different (private vs.…

Nice!! It works great! Yes I was foolishly trying to install with Firefox. Thanks so much for your contribution @emilianoeheyns !! Merry christmas!

Wow, thank you for writing that! However I've been trying to troubleshoot this for a while but can't seem to find a workaround-- when I try to install I get the error that it cannot install and appears to be corrupt. When I try to install with tem…

Yes, exactly! And since not everything has a PMCID, it could also scrape the PMID if possible.

Almost 4 Christmases later and I'm still manually importing PMCID into articles and/or dealing with dual entries from importing from both pubmed and the publisher page. So consider this my note to Santa-- any chance of doing this? This would immen…

OK thanks. So if he writes an FF plugin, can you answer this part of that thread? "is this a bad idea since zotero is moving away from xulrunner? How will electron plugins be managed?" thanks, Grant

If it's straightforward, what's the barrier to implementation? If it can be done within the next few weeks I will seriously pay someone to do this because I can't spare the time to look all these hundreds of PMCID's up individually and I don't know…

This guy is getting close. Anyone? https://groups.google.com/forum/#!topic/zotero-dev/Cqobqnzm6Xc

I'd like Zotero to be able to use DOI to populate PMCID (and/or PMID). Ideally this would be done automatically upon import.
-
ah, cool then, thanks. alexandreblais-- I'm pretty amazed you got that to work. Now I remember that I found this API and that it would be awesome if someone figured out how to get it working with zotero: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/pmctopmid/

Hi, I know this is discouraged (they want me to do it via github, I think) but when I looked into it, it was just too complicated for me to deal with (sorry zotero people!). So here is the file, with a giant caveat emptor that it will never get u…

Thanks so much!

This problem is still endlessly annoying. I may have a good memory, but it's not THIS good: http://i56.tinypic.com/2nh0unp.png

So how can we proceed from here and ask developers for this feature? Seems like the problem is on Zotero's side and I'm tired of jumping between firefox, word, and foxit.

"the consensus last time this was discussed was..." Sorry, I didn't find this discussion. What confuses me is, I can open the same PDF from firefox's file>open command and the title appears on the tab as I would want it to. The diff…

I don't mean to press the issue, but I really want to reiterate ewandro's point that the ability to "move from single to multiple citations and back if necessary is really a must have." EDITED. I see that "edit citation" + multiple sources …

" 2. merging citations isn't possible and probably not high on the agenda, either - I see this as a pretty rare scenario with minimal time saving." I have to merge citations constantly while writing, and manually editing each citation rather th…

Sheesh, it must be... so weird, I thought I remembered seeing e.g. "Full Text (application/pdf Object)." Too bad I spent all that time clicking "rename file from parent metadata," which should be an automatic pdf import option anyway. Th…

This feature would be great. Also, the "multiple citations" button is cumbersome- why not just be able to use Ctrl or shift to highlight the citations you want?
