That's excellent. Thanks for the quick response!

I might actually do that if I have the chance. It's not really a huge deal to me right now, since there's an easy workaround; I just wanted to post something in case someone else is having the same problem, or in case it's indicative of a broader is…

The strange thing, though, is that it's only happening with certain citations. In the last document I finished, it was happening every time I cited these two sources (plus one other), but every other citation appeared normally. Could the embedded in…

The issue of the page numbers coming before the editors seems to be fixed in 4.0.8. Thanks!

Was anything ever decided on this? I am running into an increasing number of online book chapters with DOIs, and it would be nice to be able to use them. Chicago style also makes provision for using them with items other than journal articles: see 1…

Well, fair enough; I feel that this is splitting hairs and ignoring actual usage at present in the humanities (and one that is still technically allowed by the manual itself), but I'm obviously not going to convince you. Thank you for taking the tim…

I certainly understand. The point is that you have a preference that appears to do something that it does not. I would really encourage you either have it apply to both URLs and DOIs (which would make everyone's lives easier) or remove it entirely; …

I'm terribly sorry to extend this thread on an unrelated topic; I did think that it was just another weird issue in 4.0.6. It looks as if most of these issues last covered in this thread, but it doesn't look as if they were ever addressed. I can go …

Strange; it definitely wasn't doing this until recently. I don't want to rehash the arguments from the previous threads, since they're a few years old in many cases: but I really think that Zotero should be following that preference, since it's ther…

One other thing I've noticed in 4.0.6, by the way: it's now putting in URLs and DOIs along with references, even with "Include URLs of paper articles" unchecked. There seem to be many threads about this already, all of which seem to indicate that Zo…

Glad that I'm not completely crazy, at least! Many thanks for your help!

Very strange. It really does happen everywhere: Word plug-in, quick copy, generate bibliography, you name it.
-
Yes, that was exactly my thought. Works fine with anything else, running Zotero standalone 4.0.6. Edit: It also still happens after deleting and re-installing the styles. You probably guessed from the style of the citation, but I should also perhap…

Another I missed: "ca."

On #3, has there been any thought of using the new three-em dash character introduced for this purpose (i.e. U+2E3B)? It's a bit early for it at the moment due to the lack of font support, but it would be nice to have at some point in the future.

Not sure if this is the right place to remark on this: but I've also noticed that "c." (i.e. circa) in titles is also capitalized. For instance, Scribes and Scholars at Salisbury Cathedral, c. 1075–c. 1125 becomes Scribes and Scholars at Salisbury C…

Exactly. That would be fantastic.

I noticed that these words are being incorrectly capitalized in titles as well; there seems to have been a discussion about this a few years ago that appears to indicate that 'van', 'von', 'de' are not capitalized, but they are anyway.
-
Fair enough; there seemed to be some indications that others were successful in this (perhaps using 10.5?), so I thought it worth asking. Thanks for the quick reply!

I am getting the same error message using TenFourFox 20, OS X 10.4.11, and Word for Mac 2004 (report ID 1767849051). This happens when attempting to install using either the trunk or current release plug-ins. I realize that this configuration isn't …

I am also seeing the problem reported above with the icon no longer appearing in an SIRSI catalogue. This occurs with any search on http://webcat.library.utoronto.ca/>.
