Just downloaded and tried 2.1b6. There is still a problem that I reported earlier. The Style can be found at: https://files.me.com/dbruce.atkinson/m9kbx3 With 2.09, the output (citation and bibliography) looks like this: https://…

Thanks a bunch. You folks are great in providing timely support. Another comment regarding the style issue. Based on all the playing around I've done with it (some might call it 'testing') I've reached the following conclusion: With 2.09, …

Sorry about that, I inadvertently moved it to another folder. Here it is again. It has the modifications that you suggested yesterday. https://files.me.com/dbruce.atkinson/18369u

Re styles (again). I stand corrected. The overall bibliography style in Word does seem to be overwritten with 2.09 as well. The difference seems to have something to do with how specific paragraph styles are handled. In 2.09, when a bibliography is …

Yes, that is exactly what happens but only in 2.1b5. In 2.1b5 the Bibliography style in Word is overwritten by the style defined by the csl the 1st time but not with subsequent additions or refreshes. In 2.09 the opposite happens, that is, the csl d…

OK, thanks again.

OK, thanks. Now here's something else I've run across. This 1st link is to the csl file (modified as per fbennett's suggestion: https://files.me.com/dbruce.atkinson/3c27b3 This second link is to a Word file with citations/bibliog…

Upon further review, that may be what 2.1 is supposed to do but it does not, at least for me. If the bibliography default style in a new document is set to add the 6 pt space, and a bibliography is inserted (from 2.1b5), the style gets overwritten a…

Of course! How dumb of me! It is the same for 2.09. I'm running 2.09 on my iMac and 2.1b5 on my MacBook and had forgotten that I changed the Bibliography style on the iMac but not on the MacBook. Thanks for jogging my memory.
-
@fbennett: I removed the 2 items you suggested and things are now working as they should in 2.1b5. THANKS!! There is another relatively minor issue that I didn't raise as part of the one above so as to not confuse things. I have Word set up to…

"For arbitrary pages there'd have to be the equivalent of the Create New Item from the Current Page button in the Zotero toolbar, but no such functionality currently exists in the connectors." This seems to mean that functionality of the Standa…

Further on this, while the suggestion resolved the particular issue so that when an item cited is first labeled 2001a it is then automatically placed before 2001b in subsequent citations, it does cause another problem in that if the first time item…

Don't know if it is in the 2.1b plugins. Tried your suggestion re . It worked for the references I tried. Very nice indeed! Thanks a bunch!

"What isn't possible afaik is to have the item you cite first be labeled 2001a and then to automatically place that before 2001b in subsequent citations." Too bad. That is exactly what I was wanting to do. I guess the only way to do that is to …

Much obliged. Cheers!

Thank you. I presume this applies to Mac as well as Windows (I should have indicated that I am using Mac OSX) I know that export/import is not recommended. I do contract work and when a contract is finished I keep an archive of all materials in…

Has this issue been resolved? I have not been able to import a Zotero RDF into 2.14b. Another question, will it be possible to import Zotero RDF exports from 2.09 (or earlier) into 2.1x or the Standalone? If not, this could be a serious shortco…

I just installed the extension for Safari and although the button in the menu appears to respond when at a web page, it does not show up as a reference in the standalone Zotero. The same happens with a pdf document. However, if I open a page with Go…

@Simon. Could you please try reproducing my second bug (two citations from the same author and year) using an institution as the author (i.e., no initials present) (e.g., WHO, DFO, ICES, etc.). I believe that is where the problem is. Cheers!

I redid the process. The Debug ID is D762394356

Re 2nd Bug: Yes, in a new document. I just happened to notice this bug while looking into the style issue above. It does NOT happen if I enter as multiple sources e.g., as (Smith 2010a; Smith 2010b). Only when they are entered individually as (Smith…

I've looked into this further and have found that when using 3.1a1, the Bibliography style in Word gets changed when a bibliography is added from Zotero. I made sure the Bibliography style in Word had the 6 pt separation before adding a bib…
-
Aha, I see that you're talking about the styles within Word itself. I have looked at the bibliography style within Word and it is identical to Normal ie with a 6 pt space between paragraphs. Therefore, it seems to me that if 3.1a1 is working the sam…

Is this different than in the 3.03b plug-in? The style works as I want it to with 3.03b. It is when I use the exact same style with the 3.1a1 plug-in that the 'problem' arises.
-
Thanks a bunch!!
-
For plug-in etc. The system requirement is Windows XP or VISTA. Has anyone tried it with Mac OS?

Thanks but the info at that site is for Word 2007 (PC) whereas I'm interested in Word 2008 (Mac).
