You may have ticked this option: Zotero Settings -> General -> Reader -> Open files in new windows instead of tabs

Put "Thesis" in "Type" field.

For problems with a plugin, you need to report directly to the dev, which you have already done (https://github.com/retorquere/zotero-open-pdf/issues/20).
-
You need to provide, in the expected format, the two examples listed in the linked page (I e., (Campbell & Pedersen and Mares). This greatly helps volunteers to create styles. You can edit your message to do so.
-
You need to report it to the plugin developer.
-
You are using a numeric format. You need to switch for an author-date format (e.g., APA, CMoS...). This is handled in Zotero menu > Preferences. https://www.zotero.org/support/google_docs

Use left/right arrows on your keyboard.

You need to report this to the plugin support: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/zotpress/

You can always edit a post to include additional information.

You already reported it (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/486799/#Comment_486799). Please avoid to create redundant threads.

You need to first choose a style in the document preferences (the "Switch to a Different Word Processor…" button is not available before). Then the button will appear the second time you open the document preferences.
-
At least the method is described in the documentation: To add more than one item, separate identifiers by spaces, commas, or line breaks.
-
I don't think you need to go that far. If a dev sees this thread they will be able to provide a better assistance than me.

In the Zotero bar of your word processor

The only checkbox related to journal abbreviation in Vancouver is in the document preferences > Advanced Options > Use MEDLINE journal abbreviations. And it will only work if you don't have "Journal Abbr" field populated in your items.

But do you have any plugin installed? Troubleshooting mode is only for troubleshooting.
