To recapitulate: you need to select the Refman RIS style as an output style (not just open it). If you do that and you select export, you'll have a RIS file that you can feed to Zotero.
-
Most of these features are already there. The middle pane is always a list of items, be it the contents of a collection or of your whole library. You can select an item and choose 'Attach snapshot of current webpage'. You can also select a collect…

Robin, do you have a *.enl file? That should be your main library. If you send me that file by email () I can give it a try.
-
It only stores a reference to the main HTML file. Zotero won't be bothered if you delete useless stuff.
-
Does this support page help? If not, can you reformulate your question?
-
...and I've done a successful sync — or at least I see my library again online (have yet to sync the other client)
-
Robin, if you don't have a working copy of Endnote handy, and if you don't mind giving your library into someone else's hands (temporarily), I could try to open it in Endnote X or Endnote X2 (I have both) and export it to a RIS file for you.

Dan, what I mean is that since I upgraded to 1.5b and did a 'reset server data' from my clients, I cannot sync anymore. It just stops after some time with 'Invalid response from server'. Most recent try: 1974408103. From your first reply I gathered…

Yep, that's my experience - no ban has ever lasted longer than about an hour, even for the same IP.
-
I think it would be good to put a warning somewhere that it no longer is a piece of cake to reset server data and start afresh. I'm still getting the error. Can you recommend a time of day when the server isn't overloaded? I'm in another timezone (A…
-
Dan, it must be the size of the sync operation. I reset server data, so my copy of Zotero is trying to upload lots of new data. I trust this is a temporary scaling issue. It would be off-putting to new users with hefty libraries to find that they c…

I've had this a couple of times too. There's no way around it, but it will usually go away within the hour. If you can get another IP (for example by logging in on a VPN) that may help you temporarily, but if you feed to many searches to Google Scho…

yishaishimoni, are you sure that you're running the 1.5beta version, and not Zotero 1.0.9? The latter is the official, stable version, and doesn't support syncing yet.
-
[I know I don't have any tags longer than 25 characters, though.]
-
On that last one, I think they are trying to be politically correct...
-
Whee! I'm blown away. Thank you indeed, developers!
-
Try activating the default scheme in Firefox and see if that helps. If it does, you know that the problem is one of your FF scheme and not of Zotero.
-
What? Are we getting account management this month and Zotero 2.0 in March? Sounds like the 1.5 release has been rebranded to 2.0. Looks good!
-
Anything known on this?
-
No that's not different — 'fixing' it like that works for me too. Thanks for the tip. But anyway, this quirk was introduced in Sync3.8 as far as I know.
-
Me too! I never use it.
-
You're right - this is a quirk. When I go to the green plus button and then to "More..." the last item in the list is "Video recording". The item type list for existing items on the other hand has an additional item "Web page" just below that. Work…

Minor issue: I haven't seen the CSL file, but make sure you add yourself as an author. Styles can have multiple authors if I'm not mistaken (at least it would make sense if they could!).
-
It seems to me this is a Word/WordPress support question, not a question about Zotero. You want to get text from MS Word into WordPress? Be warned that this leads to complications: http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/11/09/why-not-to-use-word/ . You wa…
-
In my experience, the latest Sync version (1.5Sync3.8) is very stable and dependable.
-
Have you tried the advanced search?
-
nlowhor, bibliografree and others: there's a big thread about hierarchical item relationships; this is a planned feature.
-
PS: Have I missed an existing solution of the problem? Not really. Thing is, Zotero cannot know beforehand that authors are the same if different databases do not provide exactly the same format. So what is really needed is an interface within Zote…
-
bdarcus, if things like display:block do work (to give author it's own line) in the various export format, I would hope that display:inline-block also works. Especially if the text-flow isn't that important (as Michael says). In general, I think mo…

Here are four possible ways of taking care of the padding and indentation in XHTML+CSS: AAA citation style test. The XHTML markup is only a quick mockup. The focus is on how to accomplish the right layout with the leanest code.
