Hi, just a note that I came across the exact same condition: duplicate subfolders appearing in one of my collections, I deleted them, and whan I was done deleting the duplicates suddenly the collection was entirely empty! I restored the collections…

Yep! That works. Indeed the "Date" fields doesn't handle negative dates, but using the "Extra" field I can cite properly. Many thanks!

Just keeping the thread alive... I'm currently using http://broken-by.me/pdf-metadata-editor/ (featured in Gego's list above), to edit one-at-a-time, copy-pasting the basic fields from Zotero. It's a hassle, but it works so my Kobo reader can retr…

I also notice that there is a "define PDF metadata" action in MacOS's Automator. I never did any scripting, but would it be difficult to receive 3 basic fields (Title, Author, Keywords) from Zotero and write them to the file? Batch processing would…

I have another use for this: I use an ebook reader (Kobo Aura HD) for offline reading, and there is no way to move metadata between Zotero and the Kobo (tried Calibre but found no path). The Kobo is just a plain disaster for searching files: it onl…

@cjcaine107: posting flames and being rude isn't going to get you any support in a mainly volunteer-based software. Report your problem objectively and in detail. In my 5-year user experience, I mostly got good help, though my issues were minor.

OK, thanks.

UPDATE: In fact I did manage to import ALL attachments *as links*, thanks to an extension by Emiliano.Heyns. See this thread: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/31124/import-with-attachment-location/ So my issue regarding attached files is now ent…

This extension saved my bacon too. I imported a library from Sente, through a Bibtex file, and I prefered to leave the files organized in my familiar thematic folder structure. Thanks to recent updates to the import filter of Sente-generated BibTex,…

Guys, you are incredible... I just tested with a book reference with 14 chapters attached. it works! Thank you very much. Jan

Thanks! The partial export of notes is confirmed by other users, and acknowledged in a rather offhand manner by Sente support (http://sente.tenderapp.com/discussions/questions/320-exporting-notes-to-zotero). I hope they will fix this, as partially u…

Another caveat: Sente does not export the whole notes in Bibtex, but only the page number and the comment part. The note titles and quotes are ignored. Just for the reader's info, nothing Zotero can do about it obviously!

Thanks for your very useful advice. It's a bit more complicated than I thought because Sente does NOT export based on an editable Bibtex style, but probably based on some hard-coded routine. So the notes get exported to a "notes =" field (plural!). …
