Just following up in this thread - would be interested in seeing ORCID support in Zotero (even if it's manual!).
-
@bwiernik Or, similarly, a button that 'locks' the filter. Then, if you click on the root or another folder, the filter is maintained. @dstillman - sure, thanks! Happy to have this improved in whatever way suits!
-
Thanks!
-
I'd also like a right-click option :) The Send-To-Tablet option doesn't seem to work for group libraries - or does it?
-
Thanks!!
-
Thank you - I'll investigate!

Hi @bioinfonerd, I've sent you a message via the Zotero system. Not sure notifications work, so you'll have to go to https://forums.zotero.org/messages/inbox to see it!

Same issue also discussed here: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/75596/can-i-duplicate-attachments-without-duplicating-an-item#latest

Thank you!

@adomasven, @dstillman Hello both - any thoughts on this? Could I open a github report?
-
When you have copied the links as suggested you'll see how they relate to the storage location (for files that are attached to items, as they are in your case). That location also contains the .zt file. You then search in this (as you suggest). Bea…

@wayupnorth Splitting books by chapters can be a right pain. If you're happy with the command line: I've used cpdf in the past, which has an open community release, see manual here https://www.coherentpdf.com/cpdfmanual.pdf, esp. section 2.3. IF Y…

@gapplef (via https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/75158/feature-requests-change-the-keyboard-shortcut-for-delete-collection/p1) I definitely think it would be good to offer some more fine-grained control over those keyboard shortcuts - e.g. have d…

@adomasven, @dstillman - I have a problem with the keyboard shortcut for the GDocs extension: ctrl-cmd-C is also used in "next comment" (ctrl-cmd-N ctrl-cmd-C). Is it possible to change/customise the ctrl-cmd-C binding?

@danstillman I wonder whether the following behaviour is a consequence of this change? Or maybe it's an old bug? When I use "DOI" in the saved search, clicking "+" on that line doesn't generate a new line. For lines using Title or Tag, this works fi…

I assume this isn't visible in the UI? However, it can presumably be found in via the API?
-
@bwiernik - this is fantastic!
-
I’m suggesting it as an option of course, not as default! @bwiernik - so how does scannable scite locate an item where the item ID has changed? Are previous item ids recorded somehow? For example, if I merge two items, zotero no longer finds the …
-
OK, that's great to know!
-
@ThoWmas - if you're still interested, let me know.
-
Just to add to this: It would be great if the deleted item ID would also be preserved. This is helpful for scannable cites. ( @adamsmith ; also for copying the link via Zutilo, @bwiernik )

I've encountered the same problems, and basically (as lots of people have pointed out) you run into GS limits. The issue is that the connector needs to make lots of queries to add all the papers. One solution is (as @bwiernik suggests) to save ite…

Hello @gurdas - as @dstillman says, it's not possible in Zotero. However, depending on how technically minded you are, the following may help. Your PDF files are indexed for full-text searching (see options) and if you do "Show file" you'll see a .…

@DWL-SDCA @dstillman @bwiernik Would it be possible to receive email notifications for messages, especially for library invitations? Similar to note in other chat: I spent considerable time the other day, talking an overseas colleague through the Z…
-
@bwiernik I'd just like to follow-up on this. I spent considerable time the other day, talking an overseas colleague through the Zotero installation + ZotFile (interrupted by a few power cuts). It's a process that normally would take 5 mins, but giv…

@dstillman just wondering whether this could be added to the issue tracker too?
-
Thanks! Btw. How does simultaneous note or metadata editing get resolved? Also via a conflict window? Is that true for notes also? I think the option to retain both items in those cases would be good, to allow a detailed manual merge?
-
@dstillman - thanks for this. Yes, conflicted copies would be great - any chance that could be added to the development timeline? I would also love a 'duplicate' on attachments, that adds "- 's comments" to the end. Maybe that could be one for ZotF…

Thanks - that's really helpful!
