Tab doesn't work for the extra field. Cannot see why.

Interesting ! but I trust more isbn/doi retrieval to add the entry, then zotfile to attach the pdf. Most of my pdfs are preprint version with no metadata for zotero to retrieve. In my experience, starting from the pdf give not good result (except if…

I use zotfile to attach a document I just downloaded to a zotero entry. With my configuration, zotfile will move the document to a specific folder and rename it. It works well when I download something from firefox. Zotfile will look for the last m…

Ok It fixes. I rebooted my computer. It seems you need to reboot the computer after uninstalling zotero standalone 4 in order to be able to launch zotero 5... Sorry for for the trouble.
-
"$ ./zotero -ZoteroDebugText" doesn't hang. I don't kill it, it just last less than 1s. I launched strace. The result is here: https://paste.aperture-sc.net/?826c338448a5a40f#6z2OQsCLOWzeovEYJHhVOtuQVHRj9CLGy7OIAnKF27o=

Maybe I have a dependencies missing? I am running debian unstable.

Nothing either for "$ ./zotero -ZoteroDebugText"

I was afraid to cancel the all installation process with this button (it is unclear it cancels only libreoffice integration or the zotero 5 startup/installation).
-
Running with debug option does not add informations: $ cd bin/Zotero_linux-x86_64/ pprw@punda:Zotero_linux-x86_64$ ls application.ini fonts libmozavcodec.so libnssdbm3.chk libssl3.so updater chrome gmp-cle…

The first (only) time zotero 5 started, it prompts me for installing libreoffice integration. There was no button to say no so I did it (even if I don't use libreoffice). After it never start again. I will try to purge my zotero profile.
-
Yes but running ./zotero is just a way to launch the bash file "zotero". I tried also "sh zotero".

Thank for the answer. I updated my question. I believe the problem was caused by the presence of zotero standalone outdated (4) debian package on my system. But now nothing happens at all when I launch zotero from the extracted tarball. I tried to…

Indeed! Thank you and sorry for the noise

Any other suggestion for saving time in this case is welcome.

Thanks for the quick reply. I switched to the standalone version. I installed my addons (Zotfile + Better Bib(La)Tex) on the standalone version. 1 - It seems the zotero connector is in fact the same version of the zotero full Firefox exte…

Hi, I reactivate an old bug I reported on October 6th 2014 (see p.21 of this thread). The bug was (and still is): if I add a reference (with a pdf available) to zotero from a website such a springer by using the url bar, Zotfile doesn't mo…

I installed zotero from a debian package (xul-ext-zotero) but it was obviously a bad idea. I did what you recommended (install zotero from the official website) and everything is back to normal. Thanks for your help.
-
P-S : on the same debian computer, when using zotero-standalone no pdf are added as attachments.
-
Here is a update about my problem: Remind: On my Debian computer with iceweasel, Zotfile isn't moving and renaming attachments (pdfs) even if the settings say to do so. Instead, the attachments are send to zotero cloud and not renamed. I t…

Thanks for your answers. Here are some informations asked. 1. Versions Iceweasel 32.0.3 Zotero 4.0.22 Zotfile 3.1 2. I recorded the log corresponding to the action of saving a item with a pdf (exactly the same action I did on the …

I created a screencast you can download at the following url (I will delete it after ~1 day) http://urlgone.com/d40a75/ (sorry for the add : don't know any other url shortener with expiration date) In this screencast you can see me: 1. showing my…

Ok thanks for these precisions. But I didn't get everything. I would like to achieve 1.) (that is to say using the URL bar icon to add an entry to my library and have the pdf automatically moved and renamed). I visited springer website. I am conne…

Hi everyone, I would like to report a bug. I don't use the storage feature of Zotero. When I downloading a pdf, I would like Zotero to copy this file into a specific folder, to create a new entry in my library and to link the file to the new entry…

Thank you for your quick answer. Nice to see these features coming!

Thanks I've forgotten this add...

You are right. So I guess @inbook is defined by one or several authors and no editors.
-
@adamsmith I was only talking about "check" because anjo7539 mentions it and I didn't think about boxes (perhaps we misunderstood ;English is not my native language). For @collection : ok (no author and editor(s). For @inbook : we need a bookauthor…
-
I would definitively recommend to allow the possibility to create @inbook entry. @collection entry type is also very important (perhaps more) for me (for the reasons mentioned above). @collection could be created by a check for "collection" inside …
-
@adamsmith 2. OK, but at least for a CV, I assume if you had written a book you'd cite that and not individual chapters. That goes back to the fact that BibLaTeX seems ambivalent about @inbook. Yes but if I wrote books and edited books, I would li…

ok I understand. The arguments in favor of the nickbarts suggestion (at least the ones I am thinking of) are : 1. Some customized/not-standard BibLaTeX styles may use the distinction between @inbook and @collection (for example) in order to render…
