Others have reported this. RDF export isn't intended for backup or to transfer your database to another machine--ideally, you should duplicate the zotero data directory. Have you tried to use the database recovery tool?
-
How many references & what do you mean by "gets stuck?" If you aren't getting an error message & there are several references in the file that you're importing, just wait longer.
-
Export is not recommended for transferring your library. Copy your whole zotero data directory instead.

With the current translators, Zotero grabs the wrong PDF for: http://dx.doi.org/10.1016/0010-938X%2894%2990020-5 EDIT: Note that there is something peculiar with the URL parser on these forums, as parentheses, (), are not correctly parsed in tex…

It does seem to have fixed things, although I am not ready to say that it has fully. It works from the post page, but if I click on the folder icon from the main page of my blog I get a "Could Not Save Item ... translator issue" response. http://ma…

But I haven't gotten any updates within the past 2 weeks. That is because there haven't been any updates since February (see above).I know there were some because before I downloaded the other version I was getting them oftenYou had the developer's v…

Zotero exports empty COinS spans. Some webapps and some web servers will remove empty spans. Try inserting before the closing span tag.

Slight expansion on Bruce's comments: Zotero has no special support for iWorks, but you can copy formatted references to the clipboard & paste them into Pages. Supposedly people are using this kind of workflow with google documents & there'…

You use zotero in offline mode mostly like you do in online mode. From your post, it sounds as if your issues aren't really with using it offline, but with using it with PDFs:I know how to put the info manually and how to attach that pdf file to th…

You can check your version by going to the gear icon & selecting "about zotero." 1.0.3 is the current official release & happened in early February. When a new release is made, Firefox should automatically update the extension. The transa…

I wasn't able to try all of your links (some rely on subscriptions I don't have & some use session cookies). Many did error as you reported, but PNAS was fine.

Do you have small excerpts from your RIS file that demonstrates these issues?

If your PDF has commenting enabled, you can use acroread (I often use this when corresponding with publishers & coauthors). flpsed does require a conversion to and from PS, but this is now built in & I don't find it to be too slow. I u…

I really like to be able to read a PDF within the browser and take notes in the Zotero pane below....throw Ubuntu on itRight-click on the titlebar of your PDF viewer & select "always on top."One drawback: no annotations of PDFs available.apt-get…

FWIW: I've encountered this on one of my Linux boxes fairly often, but it doesn't seem to be as big of a problem on others. I have seen it on Windows, but again not frequently (but I don't see Windows very frequently either). I haven't been able t…

There is no built-in automated duplicate detection yet, but it is planned: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/42/ (and all that Dan links to at http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/902/ ) Third-party Python script: http://forums.zotero…

I prefer to access through UT because then I can directly access the articles, which are generally subscription only. But If necessary I can use the public search to grab cites and a second UT search for downloads,.I can't comment on the ezproxy iss…

If you don't care about bibliographic data: click add & select either link to or store copy of file & choose the pdf. If you do care about bibliographic data: Download or manually enter a new bibliographic item. Drag the PDF from …

There is also the idea of a "corresponding" author & it may be useful to store this information. From the way that mrnlegato describes his idea of a "primary" author, it seems these concepts serve slightly different purposes. Indeed, many …

Outside of restoring from some backup that you've made yourself? Not at this time.

Dan's instructions might be clearer than mine: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1001/?Focus=3962#Comment_3962

If you've only deleted items in the current firefox session, yes: Zotero maintains a backup of the database. Copy both 'zotero.sqlite.bak' and 'zotero.sqlite' to a safe place before closing firefox. Closing firefox will write over these. You can…

It sounds as if you created a new profile: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Profiles Try to launch the profile manager & see if you can load your old profile. Failing that, try to locate your old profile directory on your hard drive &…

I'm not sure what you mean by a fresh profile. Do you mean my firefox profile might be a problem and it should be deleted? Or something else? When I had less to go on, I thought some other extension or aspect of your profile might be the problem, but…

http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/1830/ But note that others don't have corruption issues & you might just try Firefox 2, the release version of Zotero with a fresh profile.

A work-around for your issue: Set 'extensions.zotero.parseEndNoteMIMETypes' to false in 'about:config' by double-clicking it. What SHOULD be happening: In Zotero's preferences, 'Use Zotero for downloaded RIS/Refer files' SHOULD both show wh…

This has been discussed at length. You can use cb2bib: http://www.molspaces.com/cb2bib/

If you set it as false, zotero shouldn't catch those links (and your other desktop reference manager should thus be able to). It isn't clear why this isn't being set when you use the Zotero preferences dialog. Are you able to set other perfere…
