"github" : .... very complicated and confused ! Then my post is not a request for a new style but only .... an information ; with it do as you please .... take it or threw it.... In fact this could be limited to create a new entry in the zotero st…

The problem is the very first time I looked for the Canadian journal of Ophthalmology, I applied the filter "medecine".... which didn't give the style for this journal. But if we look for without any filter with only the name Canadian journal, all t…

The difficulty with the style of the "canadian journal of ophthalmology" is now fix (thanks damnation) Identify clearly the right style into zotero is for me also useful as I have about 30 names of style ; it is the history of different articles sen…

In fact the title field is sufficient .... if we desinstall and reinstall the style file after that. Modify the id is dangereous because it is a link then the title field is only a "comment". The problem with the Canadian journal of Ophthamology fro…

.... Yes it works fine with the style of the Journal of Sport and Health Science in place of the style of the Canadian Journal of Surgery (because there is no style for the Canadian Journal of Ophthalmology....) BUT in Zotero, in the list of the p…

In fact I thought that to correct the filtering would be.... easy ... that is not the cas. Anyway, If end-users can find the good csl by other method, no problem.

It works fine with DOI. Thanks !

... and what a pity that Medicine provides only ....the Endnote file style... !

You are right but instructions for authors are very confusing and succint for Medicine. In fact (as usual) I just look at article samples as Medicine LWW is open. (meanwhile it is not in a hurry... because the article is not yet accepted...)

As you said, I have just tried vancouver-superscript-bracket-only-year but with this style, the bibliography numbers are not in brackets as Medicine ask for it. Citation numbers and Reference numbers must be in brackets for Medicine

Yes thanks for the quick response ! Just a complement (as I have just inserted the bibliography) : if citations must be in brackets and in superscript, the references number must be in... brackets which is not the case with medicine.csl (reference …

Curious. I asked Pubmed with ZOTERO (and Chrome) for the [1] and [2] references, given as examples by the JFO, and no doi field in ZOTERO has been completed. May be to have a doi, an other database (in conjonction with Pubmed) must be asked ? Wha…

The editors didn't tell me explicitly not to use DOI as I asked them in a resquest.... but after having suppressed the DOI at the end of some of the references... my article had been accepted for reviewers. Among JFO's guidelines for authors, there…

Thanks you for the dot fix of this style. I have tried to reproduce the "editors" output in the bibliography but I couldn't succeed in it. As the problem concerns the chapter of a book, there is a question that even guidelines for authors are not cl…

Thanks a lot ! Resolved with you suggestion to uncheck the "automatically abbreviate journal titles" (in french -for french reader!- : "Abréger automatiquement les titres de revues") at the first Zotero citation insertion and at the first window t…

Correct. The booklet "Citing Medicine, 2nd edition The NLM Style Guide for Authors, Editors, and Publishers" says in the chapter 1 Abbreviation rules for journal titles: "Omit -any- punctuation in a title" ... but the only ponctuated example that …

An other problem with Elsevier-Vancouver (and so with Journal Francais d'Ophtalmologie style) and with no selection of ZOTERO option "automatic abbreviate title journal" (in other words, use the NLM ISO abbreviation title). Nethertheless, all "…

Sorry, but two other lacks with Elsevier-Vancouver/JFO bibliography styles: 1)with "Book", the volume number is missing in bibliography 2)with "Book Section"(chapter in a book), the edition number of the book doesn't appear Would there b…

Oops!! I forgot this detail error with book section! Zotero gives the formatted citation for book section as: [4] Weinstein L, Swartz MN. Pathogenic properties of invading microorganisms. In: Sodeman WA Jr, Sodeman WA, editors. Pathologic phy…

Ok for the "left triangle trick", it's Ok now. For conference papers -if I well understand-, it is not supported now ? (both journal-francais-dophtalmologie and elsevier-vancouver styles which are "fake" styles so) My comment on conference p…
