Can you tell me where to find specific instructions on how to do this?
-
Thanks

Thanks that should help with the citation speed. I'll get that to you in the next couple of days. In terms of managing the size of my library, the sense I'm getting is that I could set aside some older items in a group for my own organizational purp…

The desktop app is slow to launch, which I don't mind that much. And it takes a while for various collections to load once I click on them. But when I want to insert a citation into a paper, it takes a long time for Zotero to find whatever I have ty…

Thanks. My library is about 40K. And things are slow, particularly inserting citations with the Word add-on. I can cull some of it, but would prefer to keep many of the older items stored somehow in Zotero (actually Jurism) even if it's somewhere e…

Is the best way to deal with large libraries without having to delete things to move some of the older/less relevant/specialized files into another library? Or do you have another suggestion?
-
As far as I've been able to tell, the same for both Jurism and Zotero - I use either case (adding information in the title for the docmument, like Smith v. Jones (Compaint) or Smith v. Jones (Plaintiff's Motion to Dismiss) or Report.

I used to use Juris-M, then switched back to Zotero a year or so ago, I think because there were some conversion/bibtex add ins that didn't work with Juris-M then. Happy to switch back if that will fix. (But appreciate advice on how to do so).

To be clear, does that mean that I could install and use Zotero standalone and the connector on the same computer?
-
Thanks. I started using Juris-m years ago because I primarily need legal citations. At this point, could you tell me the difference between the two in terms of functionality? As a heavy Google Docs user, would it make sense to switch back - and if s…

Hi - when you say extract the references, could you clarify the process?
-
This is fantastic. In terms of possible errors, my sense is that the errors are likely to occur with the citation use in the document, but won't mess up my zotero/Jurism database and entries. Is that right?

Thanks. Is there a way put a take a smart folder created using references in my library in a different group? I've created one I think will contain most of the useful references for the other researcher and it's in my library, but I don't seem to b…

Also, I'd prefer to do this without making the library generally accessible to the public.
-
I'm interested in importing the citations from a google scholar search page, not the individual publications page. In the past, I've used the yellow folder that would appear in the toolbar ( which seemed to work more often with the zotero than the t…

Thanks for responding.

For example, into a word document, a similar structure of folders in dropbox, or (best of all) Devonthink entries.
-
Thanks - Zotfile is useful. I was thinking more about the situation where I don't have a Zotero item yet and want to import several pdfs I've received (say, through email) and then use the recognize Metadata from PDF function.

Hi - when you have a chance, could you please let me know the workaround? Thanks.
-
It would be useful, thanks.

So the option for Scannable Cite shows up in the list of styles available in the Quick Copy area of preferences. It does not show up as a style available in the Style Manager area - and isn't listed in the "additional styles" available online.
-
So I've managed to get dragging to work with the RTF citation format - as long I've set the preferences in Jurism and the document for that format. It still does't work with the Indigo Law Review style. I've also noticed that Jurism doesn't give me …

Thanks for this - it's great so far. The only thing I'm having problems with is dragging citations into a document - I can drag a citation to a place in the document, but nothing happens - the citation just "snaps back" into Juris-m.
-
Any updates on the Juris-M 5.0 version?
-
That makes sense. I have many, many citations. I'd love the option to turn of the automated reformatting - the sooner the better. Thanks for all your hard work.

It's sometimes slow when I search for items using the pane in the app, even when limited to just the title and creator - I think that's to be expected. It's very slow, though, when I try to add citations to word documents. I often have multiple cit…

13K. I can cull some of the older ones out, but have basically been using Zotero as my main way to store references and interesting readings for many years. If people have other, non-Zotero ideas for handling some of that, I'm open to those too.
-
Hi, thanks for the advice. I will need to do something either about the number of items I have in my library or the size of the documents attached to them - the app is running painfully slow. Any suggestions?
-
And I should hold off on the new MacWord plug in also?
-
Great, thanks - and for all your hard work.
