Wow, neat trick! I don't think adding anything to the GUI would be worth it, then.
-
Thanks! I deleted a folder or two (with their contents!) before thinking of it. I guess I read it once in GNOME' Human Interface Guidelines, back in the GNOME 2.x days.
-
Maybe the permanently delete dialogs (shit+delete) should have "no" as the default button.
-
We're working on undo functionality for collection deletions, which should be available soon. @dstillman, any progress with undo delete collection? Or somehow deleted collections appearing in the trash?
-
OSF study registries (eg, https://osf.io/aurjt) seem to be imported as journal articles, which they are not. Maybe we need a new type for research registries, clinical trials included.

Apparently I can't reproduce it. If it happens again, i'll try and provide the debug ID.

Thanks, @fcheslack , I didn't realize I could enter in Edit mode before selecting an item!

Thanks for answering. About using the bookmarklet and Zotero Web: can you actually add an item to a folder in Zotero Web using a mobile phone? I looked again and couldn't find. About the apps: Zandy hasn't been updated in 1½ year; do you know if s…

Thanks @djross3 and @bwiernik! Although I can't imagine myself citing the book section e.g. in a paper, I would like to list my contribution as a section editor among My Publications in Zotero, to harmonize it with my CV. Is this 2.3K pages book, t…

Thanks, @adomasven! It took me a while to find the URL to download the LibreOffice plugin (https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/comment/277270/#Comment_277270) and even longer to discover the plugin inside the Zotero Standalone folder (C:\Users\[My…

Oh, well... It seems that I am in the reverse of @LiborA 's situation. Reversing network.proxy.type to the default setting of 5 (detect system settings), I was finally able to sync this installation of Zotero 4 with Zotero's server! Thanks, @dstil…

Hello, thanks for the attention. Windows is set to use manual proxy setting, with a certain IP address and port 8080, and a long list of exempted domains such as 192.168.1.* and web01. Option "do not use proxy server for local (intranet) addresses"…

I switched to the (currently beta) 5.0 version of the LibreOffice integration plugin, and LibreOffice stopped crashing when I insert a citation. Using latest Zotero 4.0.x and LibreOffice 5.3.x on Linux.
-
@andisl, have you tried Zotero 5.0, and has it prevented the LibreOffice crashes?
-
@adamsmith , I'm glad to know users without administrative priviledges will be able to install Zotero Standalone 5.0. Once there as a portable app (https://portableapps.com/node/36565), but it hasn't seen an update in ages.

Thanks for the tip, but converting the document to ReferenceMarks raised another error. Some citations had a grey background but were "{citation}" instead of an actual number, and others stayed without the grey background. I should soon translate i…

Disabling change tracking and accepting all changes: avoided messages about I having changed citations, but did not avoid error messages. Checking for citations in image captions: I didn't have any. Copying and pasting the document content into a n…

Email sent. Next I'll try the other tips. Do I help you if I say which tip helped fix the error?

It happens for me in an old document (a DOC) when I edit the references in a way that many of them are updated. Is there any information about the document that would help?
-
I had the same problem, but with Arch Linux, LO 5.3 and Zotero 4.0.29.10. (Had it with LO 5.2, too.) The documentation preferences are bookmarks (instead of fields) and not including the references in the document. An error occurred communicating w…

Thanks!

Thanks! Did you already communicate this to WHO, or should I try to get the message through?
-
I tried control+clicking, but it multiple-selects the document in the list. The standard Firefox behavior, at least in Linux (where I use Zotero) and, I believe, in Windows, is to open the link in a new tab if we middle-click the link, or if we…

Sorry for not replying shortly, I dind't get the email. I understand there is no room for settings in a bookmarklet. But... does the bookmarklet follow Zotero Standalone's settings when it is open, or was that just an impression?
-
Thank you!

I agree MEDLINE might be exporting wrong data. I sent an email to BVS explaining the situation, and made it clear I'm not sure why the author names are wrong. (I googled for the RIS specs, and the AU field should be "Surname, Name, Suffix", not…

Thanks. I'll notify BVS.

BVS now is http://bvsalud.org, and LILACS is http://lilacs.bvsalud.org. Possibly thanks to a requestof mine, BVS got their metadata right, so individual entries can be inserted in Zotero's database but the address bar icon or the bookmarklet. It doe…

It's working for some time now. The address bar icon tooltip says it's embedded metadata, so probably SciELO got their metadata right.

When Zotero stopped working, I couldn't find anything relating Arch Linux to the issue. So I inserted this forum post to help other people: https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?pid=1419707
