Hi there - rather than start a new thread I'll see if this belongs here. If not please let me know and I will start a new one. Is there a way to search by other fields (such as DOI) from the "Quick Search" bar (i.e. NOT the "Classic View")? When I c…

Hi! Thanks so much for the comments. I did eventually get Pandoc to work - there was an error in my .bib file that was causing Pandoc to fail, but I sorted that out. @bwiernik with regards to "If you really need live Zotero citations in Word for ed…

Hi - I tried Better CSL YAML but Pandoc is just not seeing the citations, and I don't know why. I tried exporting to docx and ODF and neither works, so I think this may be a Pandoc or LaTeX issue. Thanks!
-
Thanks so much! I figured Pandoc would be the cleanest, but this is for another patron (not me) so I'm hesitant to suggest installing another program for them to use. I am trying to get Pandoc to deal with just a basic LaTeX file from Overleaf but n…

Ahh, ok! Thanks for letting me know!

Apologies for resurrecting this old thread, but I just got a question from a patron about this exact thing, "command click a number of items or shift click a list of items" to add to the list in Multiple Sources for a citation. I'll find the New Fea…

Hi @bwiernik - apologies for the delay, I just gave the GitHub version of citr a spin and I do now see a Settings tab which allows for selecting different Library Groups. Thanks so much for that pointer! I'll also check out rbbt as well. Thanks agai…

Excellent - I will try the newer version and report back! Thank you so much!

Hi @bwiernik ! Thanks - here's what I am seeing. Where is Select Libraries? https://app.box.com/s/xvm1qmmyy2srjalsgigimry152iy1ev9 (I hope you can view this screenshot, let me know if not.) Thanks!

Hi! Here's one: https://scholar.google.com/citations?hl=en&user=dfpa1CUAAAAJ&view_op=list_works&sortby=pubdate Also, I tried my own, and it imports some but then hangs: https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=nNac2Z0AAAAJ&hl=en T…

Thanks! I created a custom style for my patron (they needed it right away) and I think I got all the corrections. Thanks for pointing that out!
-
I think Cell is closer, but is still incorrect for in-text citations.
-
Also, as downloaded, the style will not show a Style Preview. Does the parent style need to be installed in order for this to work? Thanks!
-
@adamsmith - thanks kindly!!

Ah, also just saw this thread: https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/32232/journal-name-is-slightly-incorrect/ Still an open issue I take it.

Hello! just putting a comment here as to when/if this issue will be fixed re: pulling incorrect citations from Medline? I literally just had a patron with this exact problem. We solved the problem by unchecking the "use MEDLINE abbreviations" box wi…

Ahhh - gotcha. So they need ot be in any top most level "group"? Thank you! Testing now!

Hastebin! How cool! Here it is: https://hastebin.com/emakezakaq.xml Again, I am 99.95% sure I am doing something wrong. Thanks!

@adamsmith - the actual bibliography? I copied and pasted those from the Style Preview pane. I get the same result when exporting to RTF and HTML.

I Inserted and etc. And my result is still: 4. Improved Quantum Theory of Many-Electron Syste…

@adamsmith Ahh. That would make sense. I'll try the block display - I did see that as a possible solution, but it didn't work. Entirely possible I wrote the CSL wrong though! Thanks!

@bwiernik - hi! Sure - I am working with a professor to update their publication page, and I'd like to use something close to what they have on their page: http://www.wag.caltech.edu/publications/papers/ If Zotero can't do it, that's fine, I'm sure …

Hello - I am also trying to do this with a custom citation style. I came across this post on stackexchange by @Rintze : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/24911522/csl-how-to-insert-a-line-break-in-bibliography I downloaded the apa-line-break.csl f…

Thanks again for all the help and discussion! So, based on what was said previously, AGU (based on APA) should disambiguate up to the 6th author. We are actually not seeing that with the Zotero AGU style. Here is an example following, note that the …
-
OK - now I see where you're coming from on that. I'll look to see if we can find some examples in AGU publications, or just email them and ask to make sure. The patron we were working with seemed to interpret it the opposite way. Thank you for all y…

OK, but that conflicts with AGU also saying "For references by three or more authors, abbreviate citation using “et al.” after the first author: (Zhang et al., 2005). Please note, this is a deviation from APA style (which lists all author names in w…

The current Zotero AGU style shows multiple authors (4 or more) in the in-text citation, instead of truncating to one and using "et al.".
