I was having the same problem, but after restarting the computer and re-downloading it, it installed without issue.

Opened the doc on a different computer, refreshed zotero and the inline citations were fixed. So I'll try again on the original computer tomorrow and if necessary post what you asked for.

Thanks. My IT person at work gave me Word 2011 and now the problem is gone. Oddly though Word 2008 still works fine with Zotero on my other two computers.

I tried downloading the standalone version to see if that made a difference. With that I get the same error message as I did originally, even with integration 3.5.5

Actually I had only run through step 6, because that's where I was told to submit an error report. But I just tried step 7 and I was able to isolate the problem. It seemed to be one footnote (without a citation in it) that was causing the problem.…

Yes, it doesn't matter if I restart Firefox. The problem's been ongoing for a couple of months, I just assumed it would be fixed so I didn't report it until now.
