4 years later, still a problem, and the above solution still works!
-
Will do. I'm booted into Linux now and trying to actually get some work done. I'll post back here to let you know if that worked or not.
-
It's Windows 10, Word (2016 Pro), and MS Defender. All do updates without telling me. I am running latest, presumably (but not the pulled October update). Zotero was working fine a little over two weeks ago. Zotero disappeared from the ribbon. Tri…

I should add that the add-in for word had previously been installed and was working fine. The Zotero tab simply disappeared (just saw this today).
-
Nevermind - I see that there is a preference in the general tab to enable copying of tags. This wasn't documented anywhere I searched, though!
-
I wanted to follow up on this. I'm attempting to similarly move items from a personal to a group library, and tags are stripped in the process. Is there a way to retain tags over a move?
-
The problem has resolved. It's still a bug, though!

So, actually, I've found the hack for me, and it's apparent zotero is computing this string (at least for the APA style). In zotero, if I have a "Presentation" with a meeting name OR a "Conference Paper" with a conference name, I get the right strin…

Except, unfortunately, that still doesn't print the conference name, etc.

I've been using the Zotero option for webdav (though of course the word "webdav" doesn't appear when you're using zotero for storage) since December or so, generally without incident. Before that I was using my webdav share on mobileme, also without…

That seems to have resolved the problem (letting the conflicts resolve by simply hitting continue). This seems pointless, if I can't change anything (without breakage)!

Merge on a sync reset failed too... bummer. Seems to be sticking on the same items, new report id: 1012014463 I will try again and see if I just leave it do whatever it wants (i.e. leave my bibliography screwed up on a few items)...
-
zotero recommended a sync reset, so I'm doing that now - "merge" as I've managed to make changes on at least two systems since last successful sync :(
-
You know - I just realized that if you click on the title in the right-hand pane, you can do this. Of course, now the file and the title are different, but that's not as bad.
-
This problem also exists with the National Library of Medicine style.
-
I have the same problem. The text inserted by zotero is somehow using the default style (according to the format bar), and not the style applied to the current section. I have custom styles mandated by a journal, so changing "default" won't work..…

Same story, and even worse, the multiple sources seem to be ordered backwards numerically regardless of their order in the GUI! That is, the in-text ref will be (22; 21) regardless of which reference comes first in the GUI selector... Bummer. …
-
OK - I'm not sure that this actually happened. I did a search once for an author and only one copy of a paper came up (which had duplicates). Tried again just now, and the duplicate is still there... Still a little troubling.
-
Actually, while I wasn't looking, zotero 2.0 seems to have identified and jettisoned duplicates... the choice seems to have been a bit arbitrary, and I definitely lost the "better" version of a reference in at least one case that I've tracked down. …

So, what about the 2.0 release? Does it have the dup detection functionality?
