Perhaps? I know that we have instructions for going the other way around—it might be possible to use those instructions in reverse. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/importing_formatted_bibliographies

No, Word’s citation functionality is very rudimentary and limited (e.g., you have to manually input item data, and many of its styles are incorrect or incomplete). I recommend you ask your colleagues to just add comment bubbles where they put the it…

I’d go with something like Zotero. (2020). Zotero [Computer software]. Corporation for Digital Scholarship. https://Zotero.org (Originally published 2006)

What is the actual required format for book reviews in SBL? I would really recommend not trying to hack workarounds. The correct way to enter a book review in Zotero is adding a Reviewed Author and/or Reviewed Title. If it isn’t formatting correctl…
-
@panyuz You can already extract PDF annotations using the Zotfile plugin.
-
Try to import the items directly from the Bioresources page, rather than Google Scholar
-
Open the Tools -> Add-ons menu in Zotero, then drag that XPI file onto the window that pops up.
-
The style is already set to include the DOI. You just don’t have them in your Zotero library. Google Scholar isn’t a good source for article metadata—among other things it doesn’t provide the DOI. You should always click through to the publisher web…

The Attachment column in the middle pane (with the paper clip icon, on the right by default) indicates which items have attachments.
-
Ctrl + down arrow will open the popup menu, then you can tab through the fields to enter pages, suffixes, change from page to section, etc.
-
It’s not currently possible, but planned
-
I would type the verse reference in the Suffix field for the citation in your Word document. https://Zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage#customizing_cites
-
You would specify the CSL style in your RMarkdown file. In your YAML at the top of the file, add an entry like this: csl: https://zotero.org/styles/apa That’s a line starting with “csl:” then the URL for the style link from the Zotero style reposi…

For translator, you can add that by clicking the Author label next to the name and choosing Translator.

With a document that large, Zotero operations are going to be slow. You can speed things up by disabling automatic citation updates in the Document Preferences window from the Zotero tab in Word or by breaking the document up into chapters. When you…

After clicking the Check Database Integrity button, does it return a message saying “No errors were found in the database” or similar?
-
The best way to add a website (or most items really) is to go to the website in your browser and click the Save to Zotero button in the browser toolbar. That is much better than entering manually (which is why website isn’t an option in the manual l…

If you are doing legal citations, I suggest using Jurism, a version of Zotero with much expanded legal citation support. It’s Indigo Book style is compatible with the Bluebook. https://Juris-m.GitHub.IO

Place your other info above the Publisher, etc. Then you can sort on them. Those fields are also removed from Extra when making citations.
-
It would be the Edit Citation button. If you place the cursor in the citation, then click the Edit Citation option, the citation should open with the existing citations. But @adomasven, there should be a combined button even in Word 2011 no? (I w…

Do you have a link To the current author guidelines?
-
You need to select a different citation style from the Document Preferences window in the Zotero tab in Word. You’ve selected a numeric style. Choose an author-date style like APA or Chicago (author-date).
-
You’re misunderstanding this. Adding citations doesn’t automatically add a bibliography anywhere (many styles don’t have a bibliography). To add the bibliography, place your cursor where you want it in your document and click the Add/Edit Bibliograp…

Place the cursor in the existing citation, then click the Add/Edit Citation button. The Zotero citation window will open with the existing citations and you can add another one to it
-
What is this for? Do you have a link to your publisher or university guidelines?
-
That's the format that the Chicago manual calls for. If you are intending to follow Chicago style, I recommend you keep the number formatting as is. Otherwise that would involve editing the citation style code to change the page range format.
-
Is that was it says in the journal guidelines? Do you have a link to those? If so, we can update the style to follow that.
-
I would use the library lookup feature to check for availability, then mark the ones that are available with a colored tag. It might be possible to write a script to automate that, but that would depend on exactly how availability information is s…

The Chicago style is designed to format for book reviews when there is a reviewed author. There is a version of Chicago in the Zotero repository with ibid (but I’d suggest not using ibid and instead following the Chicago format for increased clarity…

First guess would be that the email address you added isn’t associated with their Zotero account. Check that you’ve spelled it right and that they have it listed in their account settings.
