What do you mean by a cloud item?
-
Admins can add and remove members. You can change the library settings to allow members or only admins to add and edit items.

If you are using Zotero with TeX, you should install the BetterBibTeX plugin. It has much expanded Bib(La)TeX functionality, including the option to control the citekey pattern. It also has a tool to keep a bib file up to date with a collection, so …

“Used” references in what sense? Can you be more specific? What is the workflow you are using, and what text editor are you using?
-
OneDrive does not support WebDAV syncing. Here is a list of some cloud services that do support the WebDAV standard https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/webdav_services

Great work!
-
No, you can’t drag an item back from a group like that. It won’t copy back.
-
Can you give a specific URL? It’s likely that they updated the website layout and the Zotero translator needs to be updated.
-
Okay, an alternative is to format the date exactly how you want to to appear and then wrap it in quotes. That will be passed through literally
-
If that’s the case, change to a different style and back should fix the indents and spacing
-
Spacing between bibliography entries is controlled by the citation style. What style are you using?
-
It’s in CSL 1.1 which will be out this year
-
No, underline isn’t possible
-
They are defined in EDTF. I think that in Extra this should work Issued: 2012-01-13/
-
@adamsmith type. ‘Collection’ is in CSL 1.0.2
-
Field-specific language specification is planned for CSL 1.2 @adamsmith Could you suggest what the title case spec language should be?
-
No setting. Just place the xml file in the correct place on your computer. https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/endnote_import
-
I would strongly recommend just setting up both installs to sync on their own with their own databases. You can set the VM Zotero to not download attachment files to save space.
-
When you import the XML file, it needs to be in the same folder as the folder containing the PDF files from Endnote. Then it will import the PDFs associated with the items.

Don’t use SQL. Use the JavaScript API with that Run Script tool in the Tools menu. That’s safe. https://www.zotero.org/support/dev/client_coding/javascript_api

See for example https://davescomputertips.com/how-to-use-custom-footnote-marks-in-word/
-
In that case, you would need to change the format of the footnote markers in Word settings, nothing to do with Zotero. Zotero just tells Word “insert a footnote here”
-
No Google Scholar doesn’t have any sort of import feature like that. A fairly quick workflow would be to select an item in Zotero, click the Lookup button (green arrow in upper right), and then look it up on Google Scholar. Then, click the star ⭐️ …

Use a “numeric” style rather than a “footnote” style. There are many numeric styles that use brackets in the Zotero repository. https://www.zotero.org/styles?q=Brack&format=numeric
-
In the style wherever it refers to “container-title”, delete form="short". Is this for a particular journal or publisher?
-
The BrowZine app interface shows journal cover images, which I find rather helpful when browsing through the feed.
-
Yeah, if folks want the list of references, they can use AnyStyle.
-
Note that the CSE style guide calls for names or initials to be added, rather than a/b, when the author groups are different.

What do you mean by “ the keyboard doesn't work when I'm using comment tools (such as Typewriter)”? Zotero doesn’t interact with the functionality of the PDF program at all—it just opens the program.
