Did you actually merge the items, or did you delete one? Only merged items with reconcile in your documents. In your document, click the Refresh button in the Zotero tab.

This is controlled by the citation style. Are you actually at North West University? If so, have their changed their style guidelines? If not, I suggest you look at one of the many other “Harvard” styles, few of which abbreviate journal tittles.
-
If you are using Zotero to actually write in TeX, I suggest you try out the BetterBibTeX plugin, which makes that much easier.
-
Enter in Extra like this: Issued: 1990?

AppData is hidden on Windows by default. The easiest approach is just to copy the file path from the page I linked to, then paste it into the address bar in File Explorer and replace your username, then type Enter. Otherwise, here are steps to mak…

This would happen if your advisor is opening the document in an unsupported word processor. For example, if you are writing in Word, and they edit it in Google Docs or Apple Pages, this would strip out any Word fields (which Zotero uses to connect).…

@dstillman It seems that caseName is not inheriting the general title field display properties.
-
It doesn’t say “Import Word style sheet and save” anywhere on the page dstillman linked to? The instructions are to download the BibTeX style sheet for Word. Do that by clicking the “Word bibliography stylesheet” link (or right clicking it and choo…

The cursor does change on Mac or Linux. On Windows, it’s not currently possible due to a bug in Windows that Zotero cannot fix.
-
@adamsmith I’m okay with that correction. As this is a bug fix, it should go into CSL 1.0.*, correct?
-
@ddriesen It would be really helpful if you would adjust your tone and just ask your questions without the unnecessary drama. Jurism is much better able to handle all of the complexity and inconsistencies of legal citation than Zotero. If you are d…

I would use Magazine Article for this.

You can copy Zotero Select links that will link to the Zotero item using the Zutilo plugin
-
Bizarre.
-
No that’s not currently possible.
-
In the style, when the term is called, you have text-case="capitalize-first" or "title"
-
@dstillman Anything odd there?
-
If they’re hidden I’ve found Windows tends to add extensions to more “programming” file types sometimes
-
No, attachment path isn’t something that’s accessible to CSL. What exactly is your use case here? For many situations, Zotero Reports would be a good option.
-
What exactly do you mean by the “full bibliographic information”? What is shown the third time?
-
Could you submit a report ID from the help menu after you get that error, then give the ID here?
-
If you want to add multiple tags, type Shift+Enter to enter multi line mode. Then you can enter each tag on a new line. To finish, type Shift + Enter again.
-
@adamsmith Do you have Windows set to always show file extensions?
-
If you have upgraded your storage limit, you can just click the sync button on the computer where the original files are. Zotero will take care of the rest.
-
Oh, got it. I don’t think that’s currently possible. It could be added as an option, but the Zotfile developer hasn’t been very active lately. I think he would accept a patch from a community member if someone added that as an option.
-
Yes, this collapsing is correct: In the case of multiple works in which some author names have been abbreviated to "et al." (see Section 8.17), place the citations in chronological order (regardless of the order in which they appear in the reference…

I would suggest storing such information in a note, either a note attached to the book item or a standalone note connected to the book using the Related Items feature. Then you can copy that text into your document when needed.

To download the file in Firefox, right click on the link and choose Save Linked File As. If you just regular click on it, Firefox will try to install it itself (Firefox extensions are also labeled .xpi). I'm not sure what file you are downloading, …

You can keep asking here. Are all of the cited items currently in your Zotero library?
Upgrade Storage
