Both of those items were removed in the transition to APA 7th edition. APA style no longer includes place of publication nor access dates.
-
To reiterate adamsmith’s point, when you import a blog post, it will usually not import the authors, site name, correct title, etc. So you need to check that and fix after import
-
What exactly do you mean by “link to PDFs”. If you mean a link to where a reader can find the item at a publisher website, any style that includes the DOI will be good, such as APA style
-
You could compare the two styles here to see what is different https://www.diffchecker.com/
-
Can we take a step back please? This isn’t something you should have to do manually? Can you answer my last question? What exactly do the items look like as you have inserted them before modifying?
-
You might see if your university library offers training on Zotero. Many do.
-
Just click accept for all of those. You will usually need to click accept twice for each of those. Or you can ignore and then click accept all once at the end.
-
Can you copy and paste the two citations here or share your document (just the two citations) to Dropbox or similar and give a link so I can give a look?
-
Thanks! That's awesome!
-
If you place your cursor in the first citation and then click the Add/Edit Citation button, does the Add Citation window open with the existing item already in it, or is it empty (inserting a new citation)?
-
It definitely should add the letters to disambiguate. How exactly are you inserting your citations? If you open the Document Preferences window in the Zotero tab in Word, is the "Automatically update citations" box checked? If not, check it.
-
What citation style are you using?
-
The arxiv translators have not been updated in many years because the current approach meets the needs of fields who most commonly cite arxiv. They will be updated in the future. All of them should be imported as any item type with "Type: article"…

@emilianoeheyns Can you link to your pandoc filter that produces live Zotero citations? You can export your document from pandoc to Word with live Zotero citations. Emiliano has written a pandoc filter for that. From there, you can use Reference Ex…

@earcanal What exactly do you mean by “citation frequency”? How many times your own works have been cited?
-
@iverbear Please start a new thread with your question saying exactly what you want to do

I really don’t think it’s awkward. That’s the expected effect—editing an item should make it jump to the top of the Date Modified list. I don’t see any difference here between editing a tag and editing a creator or title.
-
It would be best if it changed in all cases. Indeed, colored tags are often used for "process tags", and it is something that I and my workgroup rely on heavily that we can check the items that have been processed most recently using Date Modified. …

You’re almost there. In your edited style, at the top change the and fields to something else.
-
I would recommend switching to the beta version of Zotero and using the new built in PDF annotation and note taking tools instead of Zotfile
-
You need to place your new text element inside , not after it.
-
Adjusting the BBT translator would be great!
-
@raffaem Do note that APA _very strongly_ prefers the DOI be included. It really is the most important part of the reference. This is what publishers and journals use to format the items. If you don’t want it, there is a version of APA 6 available…

It happens eventually every time, though it gets farther each time in the total proces

Yes, the YAML is a straight conversion of the JSON spec. It’s straightforward to convert between the two formats (eg with js-yaml package). It would be nice if Zotero’s import tools could accept this format

There isn't really a reason for Word to be running as an Administrator, so that is something you should ask your IT department to fix.
-
Is this a change in the University’s style guidelines?

Start with the DGP style to begin with: https://www.zotero.org/styles/deutsche-gesellschaft-fur-psychologie If there are other changes, please describe them in detail here. What university and faculty is this? Do you have a link to the requiremen…

That is, place your cursor where you want the bibliography then click the Add/Edit Bibliography in the Zotero tab in Word

Could we also add validation feedback like in https://validator.citationstyles.org/ ?
