(Rights is also what I used in my test item library to hold this sort of ID number)

I don’t think this is a bug — the add-ons manager is a Zotero window (like preferences, the main window, etc) — generally applications don’t close until you close all of their windows

1) Enter the name in Extra like this: Author: Jones || Mariah A. 2) This would require editing the style, as APA uses an unusual date format. You might find it easier to either use the DGP style (which is essentially a German version of APA) or ign…

Nowadays, use Preprint for working papers and the like
-
What citation style are you using? Does the style sort the bibliography alphabetically, so that (2) could come first?
-
No that’s not currently possible
-
Yes, any Zotero user can always make groups. The only thing that is ever limited is how much file storage a user has. With lab membership or an unlimited individual subscription, they have unlimited file storage.
-
It is exactly the same as if each lab member had an individual unlimited storage subscription. The account you purchase the lab subscription with is the admin that can add and remove lab members from the list of included users.

No, Apple does not provide a public API for making plugins the same way that Word does. There is an Endnote plugin for Pages, but Apple built that themselves. You would need to contact Apple to encourage them to make a plugin framework available for…

Specifically you want to edit the edition field to just be the number “3”

Like the items in this library. https://www.zotero.org/groups/2205533/test_items_library/collections/MR2N872S/item-list Click the little two-boxes icon next to the author name to switch from a one-field institutional name to two-field personal nam…

Really at this point just use APA 7. It came out several years ago
-
It was an explicit rule given in the APA 6 manual (eg, see examples 74 to 77). In general, I wouldn’t trust any online guides not from APA itself—all of them I’ve seen are filled with errors. The APA CSL styles are very carefully written to follow t…
-
I would personally just suggest using APA 7. APA 6 specifically required to never italicize website titles, and that weird rule was removed in APA 7.
-
Yes, any fields that you add with their CSL variable names at the top of Extra are removed before the ‘note’ CSL field is printed Place each different variable on a new line in Extra
-
With RMarkdown or Quarto, it’s also better to USE CSL-JSON or CSL YAML files rather than .bib. When a Markdown/Quarto file is built, the pandoc program that handles the process needs to convert .bib to CSL format, and that’s a lossy process because …

If you click Yes, your manual edits to remove the initials will be kept, but the citation won’t update automatically anymore (eg, if you change to a different citation style). If you click No, your manual edits will be removed and the initials wil…

Same as above—use readcube’s functions to embed the annotations into the PDF files, then import those files into Zotero with your library
-
Can you please post that in your other thread
-
Edit: please don’t open duplicate threads. Please respond in your previous thread on this topic https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/103022/why-chinese-article-cant-be-recognized

Zotfile can do first or last author, but corresponding authors elsewhere in the list isn’t something that is contained in Zotero data. Your best option there would be to add those to the Extra field and then make a custom wildcard in zotfile prefere…

It sounds like you just have the citation window open already—press Escape or Enter/Return so that the citation window is closed, then add a new citation. If that doesn’t work, can you take a step back and describe in detail exactly what steps you a…

@adamsmith In APA, I used the `references` variable to contain more detailed information about previous versions of a work. That might be worth incorporating into Chicago
-
That is just the stock system keyboard. In that situation, the iPad is expecting that you are typing on the keyboard with the pencil tip—that’s why it’s so small
-
Google Docs doesn’t support endnotes at all. Either use footnotes, or you can export your document to Word or LibreOffice at the end and convert the footnotes to endnotes there.
-
This is the currently available option, or you can manually add the Twitter handle to the bibliography when you finish editing. Sorry
-
Put it in square brackets [@bmwiernik] after the author first name in your Zotero data
-
It was a bug that it was removed briefly. You can expect punctuation to sort first
-
This is just a book. You can add the compiler to Extra like this: Compiler: Last || First That will appear in citations for styles that are updated to support this creator type (not many yet)
