Too bad. I rather not mess with my database, so I guess it's time for some manual batch editing. Thank you!

What you say makes total sense Adam. Last idea: if not an option to delete linked attachments in the regular Zotero folders (which is potentially dangerous and/or confusing), how about providing the option in the right click menu *only* for ent…

Thanks Adam, I'll report it over there. Cheers.

Thanks Adam, do you have a link or the script file itself? As I can only code in Python, I'm not sure I could come up with an entire plugin. Perhaps a simple script that scans the Zotero database and compares with the stored PDFs by Zotfile. Ho…

Well, I understand what you say but I definitely see this as non-expected behavior (at least I didn't expect it). Is there any way to track down these orphan files manually? I hate leaving trash behind like this..

I'm running Zotero v4.0.29.10, Zotfile v4.2.6, and Zotero Connector v4.0.29.1 (also active is Zutilo v2.0.1), under elementary OS Freya (based on Ubuntu 14.04, 64 bit) with Google Chrome v50.0.2661.102. I have Zotero set to use a base directory…

A quick Google search for "this extension is managed and cannot be removed or disabled" (https://goo.gl/eLphCO) shows: * "If you are seeing pop-up ads with Google Chrome, and in your extension list there is an extension with the “This extension…

I see the ADS guys closed the issue on their end (https://github.com/adsabs/bumblebee/issues/752), so I guess the Zotero guys have taken over. Any new developments on this feature? Cheers.

I think I've found the culprit. I changed in Zotfile's preferences the 'Use subfolder defined by' from /%y to %y and now changing with Zutilo the paths from: ../Zotero/almacenamiento/Zot// to nothing (ie: blank) wo…

I've tried the following paths to replace (i.e.: the first window that pops for Zutilo's 'Modify attachment path' option) using a fake path in the second window just to see if anything is changed: * ../Zotero/almacenamiento/Zot// * ../Zotero/…
-
In fact, nothing I put in the second window of the 'Modify attachment path' has any effect. This means that what I put in the first window, i.e.: the old path that should be replaced, is not correct. I've tried all modifications of the pat…

Just tried (I checked 'Replace every instance of partial path' in the first window), it did not work. What happened is what I keep getting all morning, I explain below. Currently any old entry is shown by Zutilo with a path that looks like…

For example, for a 2016 article it is looking here: /Zotero/almacenamiento/Zot//2016/name_of_attach.pdf (notice the double backlash, not sure why that happened?) That's the old path I use to have. The path to the base folder I've set …

I installed the add-on and checked. Indeed it is looking somewhere else for the PDF attachment. How can I fix this for my entire database? The Zutilo add-on has an option to modify the path to an attachment, but I'm not sure how to use it. …

I'll set the same settings in my desktop PC when I get home. The issue I have right now is that Zotero is not picking up any of the attached PDFs that are stored in the year-named folders by Zotfile in my laptop (where I made these changes right now…

Hi Adam, I've been syncing my database with Dropbox for I'd say years now. I do this because that's how I keep my PDF attachments synced across my devices. Since Zotero stores PDFs inside the 'storage' folder which is located in the same f…

Thanks adam! I just did that and it was easier than I thought.
-
Will do adam, I didn't know that.
-
Dismiss this, it started working again.
-
Excellent! Thank you adam!
-
Great to see this is moving forward! Currently I can save an article from the new Bumblebee ADS interface, but not the PDF. Hopefully this will be added down the road. Thanks to everyone working to make this possible!

Sadly no Phillipp, Zotero looks exactly the same as it did when this post was opened almost three years ago :(
-
Thanks Adam!
-
Thank you Adam, will look into ZotFile then.
-
Sorry, yes I mean the label. I'd like to automatically have Zotero name it the same way it does the actual PDF file, instead of having to do it manually. Can this be done?
-
Thank you Adam, I'll subscribe myself to the bug over there.

I'm using the standalone version of Zotero 4.0.23.3. I have no add-ons that I can think of, but I also found no way to check this in the app (perhaps this is something that can only be done in the Firefox version?) Is there any way to debu…

Got it, thank you Dan!
-
You are right aurimas, I had not seen that option, thank you! It still downloads the 'Comments', but I guess I can live with that. Cheers.

@aurimas, where is that option in standalone? I looked for it but couldn't find it. What I did find was the option to disable saving a snapshot from the connector, but only when saving to zotero.org.
