Thank you, the beta version appears to have fixed both issues. I did have to change the Exec command in the .desktop file to make it launch, from: Exec=bash -c "$(dirname $(realpath $(echo %k | sed -e 's/^file:\\/\\///')))/zotero -url %U" to: Exe…

The non-flatpack installs (bot tarball and zotero-deb) have this issue https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/109431/selected-row-folder-is-not-shown I just updated with a comment, could you check it out please?

I get this warning with the zotero-deb install, could this be related?: zotero (zotero:68927): Gtk-WARNING **: 16:41:21.547: Theme parsing error: :1:31: Expected ')' in color definition (zotero:68927): Gtk-WARNING **: 16:41:21.547: Theme parsing …

I've installed Zotero via Flathub and 'Show File' opens a terminal app. Not even the default terminal app. It used to work with the tarball installation but I hah other issues. Is there no way around this?
-
It's elementary OS 7.1 Horus (based on Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS). I installed this system a few months ago and I believe this never worked properly
-
As far as I can tell it's running from the extracted tarball https://ibb.co/DYSqQVf
-
I only had the LibreOffice plugin enabled as far as I can tell (which comes enabled by default). Nothing changed after disabling & restarting. https://ibb.co/W6dzJV1
-
I'm using v6.0.8. I usually need to press 'S' before 'H' so that it will work
-
Here's a very crude mockup of how I'd love to see in the toolbar. The 'H' shortcut works half the times, don't know why. https://i.postimg.cc/W15PcLyd/Captura-de-pantalla-de-2022-06-15-11-16-20.png

I also would love to have this feature. Okular has it and it is very useful
-
Restarting Zotero fixed it.
-
+1 here I use the hand tool more than I use scrolling. I feel it gives me more control.

Can anybody reproduce this behaviour with the back/forth navigation buttons? https://forums.zotero.org/discussion/95524/bug-report-issue-with-navigation-buttons-shortcuts-in-zotero-6-pdf-viewer-editor#latest
-
This is elementary OS 5.1.7 (based on Ubuntu 18.04.6 LTS). It happens with every PDF I've tested. "Any chance you're just hitting the left arrow first", nope. It always goes to the numerically previous page first instead of the one I just came from.
-
Oh I see that now, thank you! There's a problem with the behaviour of the shortcuts though, I'll open a bug report.
-
Thank you both!

I just loaded the new web version for the first time and it showed. I can not reproduce it anymore, sorry.
-
Ok, I'll remember to use the command-line option next time I start Zotero. Thanks.
-
Oh, since you said to use "Restart with Logging Enabled" I thought I should use that option after I saw the error. Sorry. I don't see how I can send you the debug output then. Whenever I see this issue, it is as soon as Zotero loads and I can not r…

Just happened and I sent the debug report. The ID is D615381972
-
Got it, I'll keep it in mind for the next time I need to do a re-install. Thank you @dstillman
-
As soon as I see this error again, I'll submit the output debug and share the ID here (btw, I just accidently submitted the debug report with ID D390632425)

I understand the metadata syncs via Zotero, which is why I made sure it was completely synced before I attempted anything. The instructions for Linux users are: > Linux users may wish to use a package for their distro rather than using the tarb…

When I open Zotero. It usually happens the first time I open Zotero after I just initiated my system (ie: just turned on the PC)
-
I checked that everything was fully synced before attempting anything. I use Dropbox+Zotero to sync the PDFs, so the bulk of the syncing is done outside of Zotero. I did lose my settings, but: a) I use mostly all default settings, b) I stored a copy…
-
Thank you both. Since I use Zotfile+Dropbopx to organize and sync my PDFs, what I did was: 1. Remove both ~/Zotero and ~/.zotero folders 2. Paste the extracted folder with the latest version in ~/Zotero 3. Launch (new) Zotero, log in and let it sy…

I hadn't noticed I was using a beta, I expected it to upgrade itself out of the beta. I'll upgrade now. I submitted the error report before restarting.

I could also put the DOI in the Abstract, or add it as a Note. I prefer adding things to the proper field, so I'll wait until this gets implemented, thank you. Tags are ok, the only downside I see is that you can't order articles with them.
-
I use the 'Extra' field to mark the level of "read" assigned to each element in the library, so that's a no go. Good to hear that adding a DOI field to other item types is planned.
