Got it. Here's what I was just about to post over there: The current arXiv translator (https://github.com/zotero/translators/blob/master/arXiv.org.js) always stores a snapshot of the article. There is currently no way to disable this from the C…

Thanks for the clarification Adam. I'll post over at the Github translators page to see what people think about removing this entirely from the arXiv translator since a PDF will always be available at arXiv.
-
Great, will do that then. Thanks Adam!

Ok, I just want to be sure I won't bork anything up. What will 'Purge storage' do precisely? Will it only erase the uploaded PDFs or will it also take with it the Zotero entries associated to those files? If there are steps I would sure li…

Ok, so there's no direct way of doing it. Could you perhaps point me to some indirect way? It doesn't matter if it's hacky, I'll appreciate any help. What I'd like to do is to just wipe my Zotero storage without it affecting my library or …

Thank you for the explanation Adam. I'd like to know which files are being stored in the Zotero storage. How can I see this?
-
No, using + and - will always expand/collapse the *entire* library. The arrows work fine though (for collapsing/expanding).

Isn't all that data in the Report ID (295014583)? Zotero v4.0.25.2, elementary OS 0.2
-
Ok, I just think a forum is not a suitable place for reporting bugs. There are dedicated sites to do such a thing (Github, Launchpad, etc), that are designed to allow developers and users to track, manage, report, comment bugs, etc. This just feels …

Bummer. Thanks for the reply aurimas. Cheers.

I just updated Zotero to the latest version and I'm seeing the icon in the URL bar now, but it works a bit weird. I had to reload the tabs with ResearchGate articles, in some cases many times, until the icon appeared for all of them. I'm good f…

In my case it doesn't work with any article. Here's one: http://www.researchgate.net/publication/262445632_The_usefulness_of_2MASS_JHKs_photometry_for_open_cluster_studies
-
Thanks Dan, I'll just wait for 4.0.9 and report back if it's still not working. Cheers.
-
Dammit, why didn't I think of that? Nitpicking here but, wouldn't it be better if all systems used the same key? Now I see it works with items in 'My library', but it doesn't work with items in 'Duplicated' that I know precisely in which collec…

elementary OS which is based on Ubuntu 12.04. Ok, created a new collection called 'test collection', dragged an item into it, moved to 'My library', selected that item and held the Ctrl key. Nothing.
-
These are items in my library that I definitely know exist in collections. I've tried both Ctrl keys, Ctrl+Alt, Ctrl+AltGr, nothing works. I'm positive it used to work because I remember using it.

Got it. Here's Rintze's 'Summary' tab with some more contrast which I also think wouldn't hurt. Cheers. http://postimg.org/image/dfgbl6b99/

(Also the right column/panel should be fully retractable like the tags panel at the bottom left. Right now one can only reduce its width up to a certain point and then no more)
-
So what is the next step? Should I or one of us open a ticket in Github? Or should we discuss it here until a consensus is reached regarding the re-design?
-
I like Rintze's mockup, specially the 'stats' part at the end. With the addition of an extra 'Summary' tab like the one proposed by Rintze I'd say that no re-factoring of the 'Info' tab would even be necessary.

Hidden empty fields and listing authors separated by semi-colon are both ideas I was about to share so I've implemented them in my mockup: http://postimg.org/image/7w9nl91hr/ Some fields can be misaligned (specially vertically) since I drafted …
-
aurimas: I know the 'Abstract' field can be expanded by clicking on it, but it would be better not having to do that. I like adamsmith's idea of a minimal version visible by default. Perhaps not in separated tabs but a switch 'Minimal/Full' to …

Thanks, that was what I was looking for.

Scratch that. Apparently it takes a few minutes to take effect. Cheers.
