Oh, the English version is: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922849/en

Many thanks, Adam. In the error message there was a link to these instructions (for Word 2007), which worked: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/922849/da

Thanks so much, Gracile. I now seem to be cooking again on both points. If I need further help on this, I might add a follow-up and hope I can enlist you again.

ADAM SMITH, earlier in this chain you previously advised. That seems to be the problem then: you're looking at your library online. That's not the library Zotero uses to communicate with word. You need to install Zotero - either Standalone…

Wonderful! And with a fast connection, it didn't even take that long. Actually, I had tried clicking on "download" Zotero earlier, but nothing seemed to happen, so I figured that wasn't the problem. Anyway, you made my day (and many days to come…

First, I very much appreciate your help and patience. As re. your questions: 1. I'm not sure where to look for the arrow. My library seems to be living a life of its own (separate from Word). I'm currently at https://www.zotero.org/josephlookofs…

Well, when I am in Zotero I see my whole library, and according to the Sync icon message: "Upgrading to a new computer? Zotero will automatically pull down a complete copy of your research library from our server network." If I'm missing something…

PS to my "HELP PLEASE" post above: in case the info might help a Zotero troubleshooter: My new (HP) laptop uses Windows 7; I think the old one had an older Windows version.

HELP, PLEASE!! I'm having a similar (frustrating) problem after switching to a new laptop. When I open a Word doc with existing Zotero citations, I can see the Z-icons at the top of the Word pane, but when I try to refresh or edit a citation, I get…

Success! Many thanks guys! (After fumbling around a bit with the info at Adam's link, I realized that part of my problem might be a possible (?) failure to reinstall Zotero on my new laptop. After doing that, I fumbled some more until I found the …

many thanks to you both, very happy about this improvement, and sorry if "promised" looked unfriendly

bluebook, mainly

Since the link I provided in my previous post may not be accessible, I'll now ask this way: Can anyone tell which of the currently available Zotero citation styles uses: - article names within quotation marks (name in ordinary type), and jour…

Thanks for answering, Dan. My OS is XP. Should I go to the same directory, find the XP extension and proceed as you suggest?

Quite apart from the fact that double spaces probably count as errors in any citation style, those of us who only touch law styles would be very grateful to fbennett if he (when he has the time) can help sort out the Bluebook style.
-
Yes, I had already checked. Of course, I can remove the extra spaces manually in the Word version of the notes, but since then they return whenever I "refresh," I should wait until just before I submit for publication. In any case, and even if we ca…

Note that these extra spaces, which (still) appear in my Word document, somehow disappear (get corrected) when I send these posts

Now that I got the "editor" right (thanks to noksagt), the citation looks like this: See Lookofsky, J., The CISG Convention and Its Impact on Danish Contract Law, in THE CISG AND ITS IMPACT ON NATIONAL LEGAL SYSTEMS , 2a (Ferrari ed., 2008). …

I (suddenly) have the same problem. The green synch arrow spins and spins, and then comes the exclamation point indicating "invalid server response". I've got a nice Library and really want to get the synch-feature working again. CAN ANYONE…
