If they have a text layer, you should be able to index them by right clicking on the PDF and then reindex item, or by clicking the green arrows next to "No" in the right hand window. However, if they were not automatically indexed, they may not have…

I believe that trying to switch between 2 different Zotero accounts with the same Firefox profile would be unwise if not impossible. It would probably be best to create a separate Firefox profile for your second account.

When the address bar icon stops working, do you see any message appear in the lower right corner of your screen? Have you tried disabling your other addons to see if there is something interfering with Zotero's operation?

Though there is an unofficial address you can use that works sometimes for some things (or so I hear), Box.net does not officially support WebDAV. Box.net | Does Box support WebDAV or FTP connections? If you search this forum for "box.net" you will…

What exactly happens when you create an item from that page? I just tried, and it worked fine. The snapshot looks good, and the only problem is that when you open the snapshot, it wants to prompt you to print every time. Have you tried disabling any…

The Zotero folks are aware of the issue with that site, and there is already a ticket. Zotero Forums - Problem with IEEE Xplore

You have to enter your login information in the addon's preferences (click the gear). sync [Zotero Documentation]

Make sure you enter just your username and not your email address (either works to login to the website, but only username works in the addon). Are there any unusual characters in your username or password? If so, you could try changing your passwor…

Just make sure you click the "OK" button at the bottom of the preferences window after you enter your login info and check the "sync automatically" box. Then it will automatically synchronize with your online library whenever a change is made. If yo…

With Zotero, do you have to supply the abbreviation for each journal for yourself into the library if you plan to use abbreviations in your citation? Yes. It is a popular, though apparently difficult, request. There are several threads on the topic.…

The plugin is installed as a Firefox addon, so you can just let Firefox install it directly instead of downloading it. Just click on the link for the plugin, and if you get a warning from FF about installing software, click "allow". If you have alre…

Have you tried searching the forum? There are at least a few relevant threads. Zotero Forums - Office 2010 beta with beta 2.0 not working Zotero Forums - Word 2010 broken with latest version of the Word plugin

The statusbar icon normally should not even be removable. I would try disabling all your other addons (and go to the default FF theme). See if it shows back up then. Otherwise, you might have to try reinstalling the addon. FYI, there is also a toolb…

How are you adding the references from Pubmed? I almost invariably get abstracts from Pubmed, even if I am adding several references at once (from a search result).

Click the "Zotero set doc prefs" button in the Zotero toolbar in Word. It is mentioned right near the end of this help article: http://www.zotero.org/support/word_processor_plugin_usage

It sounds like you are not logged in to whatever service you have Firefox setup to handle RSS feeds with. Try going to Tools->Options->Applications and check what the setting is for Webfeeds. If it is set to Google or something like that, try …

Netbook here too (MSI Wind). Will check my lab computer tomorrow. BTW, do you other small-screen people have popup's (like the Zotero preferences) that do not fit on screen?
-
I have this too. Completely different setup (XP). So it must be pretty common. However, I never noticed it before I read this because I would normally just toggle fullscreen on and off rather than toggling fullscreen on, then Zotero off.

Wait a minute, do you have an item selected in the middle Zotero pane? The paperclip actions only work to attach to your currently selected item, so if you have not selected anything, they will be inactive.
-
It works for me. I would try restarting, and if that fails, restarting again but with any other addons you have installed disabled. Try the default FF theme as well if you are using a different one.

Hi. If a drag is only producing a file name, then you are probably trying to drag an attachment. Zotero has two categories of items, references and attachments (files, notes, etc.). Attachments do not have bibliographical information attached to th…

Hi. You just need to enter you Zotero account information (login name/password) in the preferences of each copy of Zotero that you use. Here is more detail on syncing: http://www.zotero.org/support/sync If you are using campus computers, and you ha…

I don't think there is any way to get it to open fullscreen other than setting zotero://fullscreen as your home page, or using this plugin: http://www.tc.umn.edu/~kjamison//zoterename/

That should work, and so should gear icon->update all citations However, I just tried myself, and updating citations was not working, though it seems that fetching for newly added papers was working (at least until very recently). Anyway, I reins…

Good request. For now, there is an addon which can sort of do this. It uses the call number field, and fetches counts from Google Scholar. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/14667/

Several people have reported this. I don't know if yours is the same issue, but you may want to read this thread: http://forums.zotero.org/discussion/10058/upload-accepted-waiting-for-sync-server/#Item_44

Thanks. I have no idea how these translators work, so I'll avoid BioOne or otherwise work around the issue for now.

Hi. I have no problem adding items from BioOne. However, I can't get the PDFs automatically added (my preferences are correct, and it works elsewhere). Here is an example page: http://www.bioone.org/doi/full/10.1554/02-595 That was the article I was…
