I check the database integrity and it stated there were no errors. Re-ran the update (this time r3941) and got the same error (see report id 969998969). I then tried doing a repair on the database (even though there were no errors, but just in case)…

As a work around, you could try the "Universal reference formatter" (http://toolserver.org/~verisimilus/Scholar/Cite.php) though I'm not sure how well it works.

I think you may find that automatically downloading an entire journal would infringe copyright in several countries.

Another problem with the APA style is that it is now putting titles in sentence case. This means that initials and words that should have a capital letter are being displayed with lower case letters; the items are correctly formatted in the database…
