I am not sure if this is a good idea. Books are published in series too. For example, EEA Reports are divided into a lot of series. My institution published books in three different series, etc.
-
ISSN is identifacator of serial publication as journals etc. No search engine can be able find document by the ISSN due to a a lot of documents with the same ISSN.

It seems like a problem in your system or Adobe settings. When I safe highlighted (changed) PDF it is standardly offered the same directory as the source PDf file. You can also find the correct directory by the "show file" function (right click on P…

Zotero does not use Notepad++ but TinyMCE. You can ask the developers of TinyMCE for this functionality.
-
I am not fully sure, but didn't you select a PDF file without metadata? If yes, then in Zotero find this PDF file, right click on them and create parent item. In this parent item fill in metadata and in your document cite this one.
-
There is "short title" field. You can use it.
-
XMP use Dublin core, Jabref use your own format. I think Dublin core is a good basis.
-
You do not need the copy PDF files to all machines. You can store the PDF attachments on the network disk in your company. In Zotero, this will be not stored but only linked. The database then will be on each machine, but I am not sure how the chang…

yes, if you add number in the citation in text, them the Zotero recognize it as page number. There is better do not use numbers in the add citation window for searching authors.
-
In this case, the DOI downloaded by connector from journal web page is not capitalized. But you are right, it is not so important if the API sends back the capitalized DOI.
-
I am looking on a lot of articles from the current issue (http://ijpr.sbmu.ac.ir/?_action=current&_is=Current Issue) and all of them have bibliography sorted by number, not alphabetically.
-
Unchecking "Get ShortDOI for new items" works correctly in the version 1.2.1 works. Thanks. I found one "interesting" behaviour. If I change the short DOI to long DOI by the function of this plugin, then the long DOI is capitalized (for example 10.…

select your paper and press control/alt/option key https://www.zotero.org/support/kb/collections_containing_an_item

In the CV you can select specific subcollections (one or more) to the showing. You can also select different citation style.
-
@damnation This journal is published by IOPS science. This publisher uses Vancouver or Harvard systems. In the instruction for authors you can see: You may use either of these two systems for your references (unless you are submitting to Fluid Dynam…

You can see my personal page https://ansorge.website there I use Zotero API for list of my Publication. In this example, you cannot share the files - URLs are not hyperlinks. But you can also use curriculum vitae section of your Zotero profile, wher…

I have unchecked "Get ShortDOI for new items" but I still get it.

Single field is for company names primarily and Zotero works with content of single name field as this type of name. You have to correct first and sure name manually if it is necessary. No tool can produce correct bibliography from wrong input.
-
It can be by the wrong import from the web. Can you provide URL for testing? You can solve it by checking names in the Zotero. In the middle pane, you should see only surnames of the authors. If you see also the first name, then it seems you use the…

The CSL file does not need to import twice. It sounds like you change any different CSL style and this is "updated" by the original style from the repository. Can you provide more info what you exactly have done?
-
Last version of Zotero has feature for disabling of update document. Did you use it?
-
You can click on the style in the Zotero repository. It should be installed automatically. If it is downloaded (instead of installed) then double-click on the downloaded file. You have to see message about installation the style into the Zotero.
-
You have no updated style. Try to install the style manually.
-
I see date of style in the repository 2018-01-19
-
You can use any txt editor (for example I use PSPad) or you can use online editor http://editor.citationstyles.org/about/
-
The style was updated in the repository.
-
I am also not sure by construction . Standard construction seems like: but currently I am in the car, so I can be wrong.
-
I think, you cannot add uncited items to the bibliography.
-
You can use "one account" for everybody. Each person will use the same username and password. But there is no difference between User-account and Administrator-account. You can also use groups for sharing metadata and in this case, each employer can…

@adamsmith Thanks a lot, it is the very interesting feature. Unfortunately, the list of possible locators https://zotero-odf-scan.github.io/zotero-odf-scan/ is bigger like the list of locators in the CSL http://docs.citationstyles.org/en/1.0.1/speci…
